Then why did you let yourself get knocked out of the game?

This question wouldn't still be alive 16 years later if people didn't already know the answer.

Only Texas fans ask this question.

Texas fans still crying after 15 years. Bama fans don't keep crying about Metchie and Williams being injured and UGA fans aren't crying because McConkey and Bowers were hurt. Let it go Texas fans. Go find a therapist to help you deal with it. It's time.

One of these things is an all time great college football qb, the other is Greg McElroy

One thing Saban knew - you don't win with prima donnas, you win with hosses.

After you get the hosses, the prima donnas will surface.

I think Sark learned this.

This is funny, because if he knew what they were going to do before they did it… He might not have stood there and gotten hit

He’s a tool but that’s also his job, so you can’t really hold it against him.

UGA was by far the best team over the last month of that season. Really from the Florida game on. Different format today but they would have made a 12 team playoff and beaten any team they played. They lost to USC 16-12 early and Tenn whipped them in Knoxville about mid-season.

Went 11-2

Colt McCoy had a total of 9 yards passing before he got injured. A QBR less than 70. He was injured because Texas ran a speed sweep that was shut down by the Alabama defense and that caused him to turn up field. If he pitches it, it's probably 6 points for Alabama.

But because the O Line of Texas was extremely bad and used cut blocks, Darius was able to shove the Texas lineman to the ground, walk over 2 others and hit Colt from the side.

The only reason it appeared that Texas had any momentum was not because of the Texas offense, but rather because Alabama did the fake punt from our own 20 that was intercepted giving Texas a FG. That was followed up with a turnover that gave Texas the ball back again in FG range.

He threw 2 passes, both were completions. Colt almost won the heisman twice, Gilbert transferred to SMU and sucked there as well until his senior season. Stop being ridiculous

Edit: Dang, 15 completions to 4 INTs, and it was still a close game? Wow, Texas' defense must have been good.

Yeah I think this was the point that seemingly was lost on Big Bro. Gilbert’s stats were terrible and we still almost won the game. Hence the “If Colt McCoy hadn’t gotten hurt…” (Drink)

And I almost scored with Jennifer Aniston in her prime.

It is long, long past time to let that go.

Kiss the ring.

Injuries are part of the game. No doubt Georgia doesn't win their first NC in 40 years but for the fact Bama had both starting WRs injured. It's just how the game is.
