We're not sure that USCe ever knew it started.

Yeah now that we have the NIL and super conferences I wanna know when college football is going to make it possible to start trading players. With the transfer portal that works like free agency so when does college football start trading players. That’s about the only thing separating college from pro football right now.

[quote] they get a free college education [/quote
They have opportunity for a free education.
Most are not there for education.
I would guess very few graduate.

That would be great. Can we trade for cash considerations?

Nothing would be wrong with several super conf if they played each other most weekends and we had more parity. Lack of parity has done more damage than anything.

Im older than most and college football used to be an game between college students and coaches weren't fired at a whim, but money has slowly and surely changed everything. ESPN owns major college football lock, stock and barrel.

I've been a Gator since 1962 and those were the days of teams sometimes punting on third down if inside their own 40 yd line and let the defense hold the other team. Bryant did it many times. It was a game of chess. Teams mostly were regulated to one appearance a year on TV if lucky enough. You got a steady diet of Notre Dame, Ohio State etc etc.

Now of course its much better to have multiple games on TV and I enjoy aerial attacks as much as anyone. But how much is enough? The SEC already makes tons of $$$, but greed is the name of the game now. Its now NFL Lite. Sad.

It’s a bunch of paid young men now. I’ll never see them as kids again.

Amateurism is over. And if the NFL does what the NBA has done with a paid development league, college football will become even more unwatchable.
