And this is what is wrong with early season polling. For the first 5 games or so, there shouldn’t be any 1 loss teams ahead of undefeated teams. If they belong in the top 10-15, they will work themselves right back up there, but that is exactly what they should have to do.
Having 1-1 teams like Clemson, Ohio State, Iowa State, Wisconsin, and NC State ahead of teams who have actually won both games simply discounts other team’s accomplishments. I understand that this should only apply to a point, as some teams have only played cupcakes like Rice and Texass.
