Your soft in the middle. Attack the middle, force the safeties in then take shots on your corners.

Watch how the game plays out and then come back and tell me I was wrong.

LSU’s defense might be a bit stronger.

Numbers don't support this.

Actually, SP+ filters out garbage time and factors in the competition. No evaluation system is perfect but this is probably the best we have at this time.

offense: Bama 2, LSU 3
defense: Bama 8, LSU 20
overall: OSU 1, Bama 2, LSU 3

So IMO, there's not much difference between the 2. Bama's D is a little better than most realize but LSU's is better as well.

I feel better when Bama fans inform me that LSU’s Heisman QB won’t be facing the same caliber of Saban’s defense as the past 8 years!

Alabama injury list is long according to media reports, and that’s starting to cause concern leading up to the game with LSU.

This is the weakest Bama defense in 13 years, since the UL Monroe disaster. LSU's is not overly scary either.

Bama hasn't played an offense that tested the D....yet

^this

They're not soft. They're not weak. If you're going to mention schedule, the issue with the schedule is that they may not have been tested. They don't know how they will respond when/if someone can take their blow and punch back. But, not too often has Saban not had them ready.

I know most of you are trolling. No damn way anyone thinks this will be easy.

The biggest myth about this game is that these two teams don’t have good defenses. Worse than typical? Sure. But still pretty damn good

Both offenses scoring so fast gives the other team extra possessions, which explains why both teams are giving up more points than usual.

I’d like to see per possession stats for this year compared to years past for both teams. Without looking it up, I’m guessing that both defenses are a lot closer to years past per possession than they are in terms of total ppg.

LSU was without much of their Dline for the first 5 games, skewed the stats, defense has improved dramatically since they’ve returned.

Look at this shite. Max protection play-action under center from the 7. Bama had 8 guys in the box. Y'all are in a for a rude awakening if you think Bama will be teeing off like this.

Both teams have had elite defenses over the last decade so to see them at a B+ instead of A+ makes it appear is if they’ve slid all the way down the mountain but in reality they’re just closer to the group ranked slightly below them.

LSU offensive line is much better this year. Magee is playing right tackle in that gif. He’s really a guard. This is an experienced group this year with great leadership in Cushenberry. Lewis and Jennings will be tough to handle. We will see how this plays out. I don’t think Alabama’s defensive line has a clear advantage this year though. Do any of the Alabama defensive lineman demand double teams like Quinnen Williams last year?

Yeah they may not be quite as good as years' past but that still equals a very good defense. I don't see them being as bad as everyone is making them out to be. The two ends are a handful and if LSU can't block them it will be long day.

LSU's offense is older and more experienced, and the new offense with their weapons makes them deadly. Aub's defense was laden with seniors, Ala is not!

Thankfully, we're not calling under center play action pass plays inside our own ten yard line anymore.
