Yep. I don't give a damn so I hardly ever vote. I live in South Carolina anyway we all know how it's going to turn out.

Local and state elections arguably have more of an impact on your day to day life though. I understand the sentiment living in a state that always votes for one party too, but the local issues do matter. It's part of the reason I think people should vote anyway.

To further that, I would also challenge you to go to a local city council meeting, a school board meeting, or similar and listen to the issues presented.

It's amazing what sort of opportunities you have locally to have your voice heard, but you have to get out there and participate!

Trump is like O in a way.

Everyone never thought he'd win shite and now that he did, they're all tripping over themselves making excuses for why he'll never do it again.

That was a dumba.... post by this LSU fan. Voting is the way you make changes peacefully. It is the best way vote and hold politicians accountable. I think most rationale people including all Southerners, I use that across all Ethnic/Racial demographics can agree that most Police do an honor job and great service. In fact, in 2018, 10.3 million people were arrested in the USA. There were about 1,000 Police shootings, which is sad but sometimes violent criminals don't want to be arrested. The issue is the 50 or so "unarmed people" who were killed. I think the data show that in 2019, as of Jume 5th as reported by the Washington Post which has kept track of Police shootings since 2015, I think 15 Unarmed Blacks and 25 unarmed Whites were shot. Other ethnic groups account for some of the others. So those are the ones we need to focus on. My question, how many Police officers get charged when an unarmed White person is shot vs. Unarmed Black person or other ethnic group. Do we see differential treatment between groups based on who is the victim of Police shootings when suspect is unarmed.

I don't see getting rid of the "bad cops" as a partisan issue. I can support the Police and not fall into the trap that some are doing and villanize "all Police" (which I refuse to do) and at the same time support those who want to reform and be able to get rid of rogue cops.

To me American Society would be better off for everyone if we can solve the "bad Cop" issue and support the Good Police officers who do their job with honestly and integrity.

So this LSU fan thinks the LSU fan who posted this nonsense is the problem, not Coach O.

I knew he would win the second he was nominated. I also was sure he would win re-election right up until the pandemic.

It’s over now though. You don’t think so many military leaders, former Republican politicians, and a former Republican president speaking out against him is a sign that he’s in trouble?
I don’t remember that ever happening on this scale in a successful re-election bid.

It’s not over yet, either. We’re not going to wake up tomorrow and find out “oh, all of Trump’s problems are gone and everyone is happy again!”

He has a recession to deal with.
He has police reform legislation to deal with.
Covid has hit Texas and other southern states(it may be out of the news cycle, but the deaths are certainly still piling up).
He has historical levels of social unrest and a new history of dealing with them poorly to deal with.
He still has to answer to congress wrt his IG firings.

The rest of his tenure will be a downward spiral. It’s over, and delusional supporters of his need to be prepared and not react poorly when it happens.

I also thought he was easily going to win until everything that's happened in the last few months, if the election were today he'd lose for sure but 5 months is a long time in Presidential politics and with the way 2020 has gone i can't imagine why anyone on June 9th could be super confident of whats going to happen in November.

As for OP, why in the WORLD would anyone be upset over registering to vote???

So you think Police shooting unarmed people is a good thing. Crime has actually been going down, in 1997 there were 15.2 million people arrested, in 2018, the last year data was available, it was 10.2 million.

Police shooting unarmed people does not solve crime, it makes people less trustworthy of Police and has the opposite effect. This yahoo from Georgia that shot the guy in the back was a "former cop" You think it is highly probable this former GA Police officer has had complaints against him for excessive force in the past.
