I think it’s pretty clear at this point.
Future of LSU football has literally never looked brighter than it does at this moment in time under Coach O.

How come USC did not hired him as the permanent head coach position when he was an interim head coach of USC that year?

So in 6 years coaching, his second year is the only year that he won fewer games than the previous year. I think he has become an excellent head coach.

In early 2017 LSU suffered a brutal beatdown to State, narrowly escaped Syracuse, and followed that with a crushing loss to Troy. But instead of losing the team he holds them together to reel off back to back to back wins over ranked FL, AU, and OM. The Troy loss is all that will be remembered from that but pulling them back from the abyss was a damn fine bit of coaching whether anyone on this board will acknowledge it or not.
