Damn, he’s obviously extremely well respected by other college football coaches. Can’t believe LSU fired the guy that brought them their best season ever and another national title. Bunch of damn ingrates

Oh yeah, he coached there back in his really crazy days.

That you had to qualify that with "really" says all you need to know about Coach O bless him.

Let's unpack this for a bit.

1st, He wasn't fired. They agreed to a speration.

2nd, 2020 LSU was 5-5. 2021 LSU started 3-3. He hired coaches he didn't interview, and had no concept of offensive scheme etc.,

He could not separate his private life from his public life, and was a terrible leader of young men.

He treated the LSU facilities like a date spot for his flavor of the week, and was letting his girlfriend's kids play around in the facilities and on the practice fields.

The players quit on him, and the coaches didn't want to coach for him.

His roster management skills were awful. He left LSU with NOTHING.

He turned into a piece of shite. He's getting paid 16.8M to keep his mouth shut. I also believe he cannot coach in the SEC for the duration of his payout.

I wish he could've stayed at LSU in some capacity, just not as head coach

I’m really surprised that was not part of his deal. Ie gets the buyout and $200k per year for life. Y’all should have found a way to keep that dude around just not in a role that has any power.

Swamp rat for life.

Back in the day he was forced to resign and had to leave Miami with a police escort to the county line because of repeated assaults etc., including head butting a woman and repeatedly violating a court restraining order to keep him away from other women he harassed. .

So just another day in Miami

That’s the perfect landing spot for him… good mix of hotties and football!

He probably also would go fishing out on the ocean. Miami is a much better fit for him and not being a HC is a blessing so he could do other things. That buyout actually helped him big time.

He's coached more championship teams than 99% of coaches. How fricking crazy is that?
