That’s some strangely dated, old, mismatched furniture for that style of house.
Cal is both old and frugal

He has a wholey recliner his family used to make fun of him for but he wouldn't get rid of it because it was still good.

He would have to downsize if he only spends $4M on a house in Fayetteville. NWA isn’t poor like Lexington. House prices through the roof in NWA but everyone is moving there and nobody is moving to Lexington or Kentucky in general so makes sense

Kind of like UKs relevance in hoops

This is a weird one in that they tore down an old house and built this new one in a nice old neighborhood.

It was a post 1980's thing where they tore down the house, split the lot in two. Built that house with the intent of building a 2nd house after that one sold. It was on the market forever. Then Cal bought it and wound up buying the 2nd lot and putting it back together.

There is a swimming pool. I have no idea why they didn't include pics in the listing. It's weird.

they got Billy Whatshisname from Tarleton State, and Rex Chapman cleaning bathrooms around the office during daily work release from their respective rehabs

They did not think the cement pond out back was worth much

The best room in that house is the laundry room and I'm not even kidding.

It's not really dated at all. I think the furnishings and some of the light fixtures are driving that perception.

Much more closer to MIR than it needs updating

Seems like a very "nice" home. However, I see no distinguishing features to make it worth 4M. Only a three car garage to boot ...

Maybe Kentucky is a better place to live than Texas.

Lexington is a boring town, but so is NW Arkansas.

They finally added more pictures. This is a HUGE lot for this part of town.

Basically looks like a spec house.

The amount of expensive homes that are basically just oversized spec houses that look like a decent architect or interior designer were never hired always surprises me.

It is an old original lot

Builder bought it and split it in two. Built the house Cal bought on spec with intend of building a 2nd. Lot looks bigger as new house is to one side instead of middle of lot as old house was.

Driveway along side is about property line. Next door neighbor used to be the grandkids of the old downtown jeweler.
