they scored 45 on Minnesota. Let me tell you BAWS something right now . CJ Stroud shook off the jitters from the first half and scorched Minnesota for 4 TDS in the second . Stroud is just going to get better every week . By the time playoffs roll around our offense will have no match . IF our defense rounds into shape , start fitting us for another ring . 2 yards rushing, 7 sacks, 8 TFL, your qb rating was 36.7 with -22 yards rushing. Your team is trash and you are right. If not for the refs it would have been 17-3 and if not for missing an easy fg and Georgia's mercy, it would have been 27-3.

Then we got these sec chumps talking smack when they played teams that could literally lose to hs teams. Those teams you played were in the bottom 10-15 teams in the country. Schedule better. That's why no one respects you and teams like Georgia will dominate you.

Let us know when the ACC actually gets someone that can actually compete. No competition there

Not sure if troll, but somewhere between Oregon, Penn State, a random game against a mid tier Big10 team at night, or maybe Iowa in the Big10 championship OSU will drop 2 games. They’re usually good for one they shouldn’t, but they’re not as good as they have been with what they lost from the last couple of years.

Not to take anything away from UGA’s defensive play but frequently DJ and the WR looked like they expected two totally different routes and I think it was blamed on the WRs to cover for DJ.

Maybe. I played WR, and my impression was all your WRs were a bit slow. No real burners. Ross was hobbled, or so it appeared to me. Nobody could stretch the field and DJ held the ball too long. But yes...it did seem they were not on the same page.

But, he played very well against ND and Boston College last year, so I have to think that it was all his fault.

Don't get me wrong. You definitely know more about Clemson that me. I am just giving my opinion based on the little exposure I have had to your team. The OLine is definitely in need of help, though, which is surprising to me. Clemson has recruited pretty well across the Oline that past several years. Development, maybe? I don't know.

Our offensive play calling was HORRIBLE.
Yeah. It seemed pretty vanilla and predictable. It seemed like every time Clemson called a pass we were blitzing everybody.

Don’t disagree and appreciate your perspective from actually playing the position. I just err on the side of if it happened at least 3-5 times I don’t think it was the WRs. Could be a mixture.

I’d like to know where that DJ went, even considering the step up in competition to UGA.

good to have reasonable discussion. I do think development and toughness are the issues on the OL because we have recruited well for several years there.

To me the offensive scheme has suffered since Jeff Scott left, even if he’s having a terrible showing at USF running the full show. Our gameplan/play calling in the biggest matchups since his departure have been poor and disconnected. The ACC games we can simply out-talent week in and week out until FSU or VT experience a real rebirth to their history.

That's because as soon as y'all figured out you didn't need the linebackers to help control the run game you started to blitz damn near every play.

I still don't understand why Clemson did nothing to slow down those blitzes or give their QB some easy passes. It was obvious he was shook when y'all sacked him with a 3 man rush. Roll him out, give him half the field to read, call some screens or swing passes. Clemson's gameplan appeared to be attack the inexperienced secondary down the field and give their big WRs opportunities for jump balls. Which is fine, but why they thought that OL they put on the field was good enough to buy that kind of time is a mystery.

Nobody ever gets beat. Its always the refs. Literally saw an Ohio State fan on Twitter saying the refs cost them the natty title game

Well that's insane. Bama ran OSU off the field last season. Injuries and covid be damned they beat OSU decisively.

I never said anything else and never will.

For me, when OSU loses I take it 1 of 3 ways: OSU played down from their standards, there were a few calls that cost OSU a game or they got their asses beat.

2015 Michigan State OSU played down from their standards
2019/20 Clemson OSU got hosed by refs in a game that was close enough to where those few calls changed the outcome
2017 Clemson/2020 Bama - Got our asses handed to us. move on and play better

Seems like a scheming issue, at least in part.

Our offense was hobbled with having so many WRs and TEs out due to injury, but the game plan was obvious. We respected Clemson's defense and were trying to attack the parameter with quick, short passes. Daniels wasn't staying in the pocket very long throughout the game, otherwise he may have been sacked more than once.
