A preview of that was in the SEC title game last year without your two studs. If they play, yall probably win. But they didn’t so you got beat.
I imagine we would have had a better chance against bama if they didn’t play at 75% and if rara Thomas was ready. Still, the game came down to a missed FG and a fumble on a trick play.

I can tell you from personal experience, all of the ticketing agencies in Athens (Campus police, Athens city PD, clarke county sheriffs office) all were aggressive as hell with parking tickets around the UGA campus.
The Athens city PD has not existed since 1991. The Clarke County SO doesn't routinely issue parking tickets. Clarke County is one of the 12 counties in GA that does not have a full-service sheriff's office.
Unpaid parking tickets do not result in suspended licenses. They are not moving offenses and do not result in points against a license. Please cite a code section to the contrary.

Clemson 30 seconds into the war:
For some reason that made me think of the 2014 UGA/Clemson game. UGA just ran toss sweeps and off tackles to Todd Gurley and UGA's line was just running along the LOS and then turning upfield to destroy Clemson defenders.
After Gurley ran for 200 yards and 3 TD on 15 carries, they decided to do the same play with freshman Nick Chubb and he got another 70 yards and a TD on 4 carries.
Not to mention Gurley had a 100 yard kick off return for a TD. UGA had nothing at QB that year (Hutson Mason was the starter), but damn that backfield and OL was fun to watch. Gurley, Chubb, Michel and speedy Keith Marshall to go along with a stud of a FB in Quayvon Hicks (before FB's disappeared).
Clemson did keep it close for a half under Deshaun Watson though. But UGA simply wore them out the power run game.

As someone who's gotten parking tickets from the clarke county police department and got a licenses suspended briefly when they didn't properly record that I had paid a parking ticket... I beg to differ with you quite strongly.
https://www.lawofficeofscottmiller.com/faqs/what-can-cause-a-drivers-license-suspension-in-georgia-.cfm
"What can cause a driver's license suspension in Georgia?
Driver's license suspension may be the results of simple things like, forgetting to pay your parking tickets"
Literally the first thing listed. Despite the way it sounds, in Georgia parking tickets are considered "traffic violations" and not paying traffic ticket fines results in a suspended license. It's by far the most common reason people get their license suspended in Georgia.
Here's another link if you don't like the first one:
https://www.georgiatrafficticket.net/unpaid-georgia-traffic-tickets-and-license-suspension/
"Consequences of Unpaid Traffic Tickets
Failing to pay a traffic ticket or missing your court date in Georgia can result in:
A bench warrant for your arrest
Driver’s license suspension by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS)
Notification of the suspension to your home state’s Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) if you reside outside Georgia
Many drivers remain unaware of their license suspension due to a change of address or other reasons. They may continue driving with a suspended license until getting pulled over for another violation or attempting to renew their license, potentially months or years later."
The issue with college students is the notification that their license was suspended do to not paying the ticket goes to their home address most of the time. For me I paid my ticket (a clarke county ticket for parking facing the wrong direction on a road just barely off campus), but got a letter saying my license was suspended sent to my home address a month later. I didn't actually open it for a few weeks after it arrived because I didn't go home. Thankfully I had saved a receipt, otherwise I likely would have been fricked over.

I don’t keep up with much of Georgia or Clemson tbh. The last 9 years we’ve beat your arse 8 times, and Clemson knows who their daddy is. So either way, I don’t care who wins the game. But it will be sweet when Dabo shoves it up your arse
This is you, isn’t it?

quote:Watson was a freshman and really didn’t play in the game, which was the opening game of the season. He was 2-4 for passing (1 beautiful TD pass) and had 5 rushes (for negative yards). Probably the biggest coaching mistake in this game was not letting Watson play the entire game.
Clemson did keep it close for a half under Deshaun Watson though.
I’m going to the game and not expecting Clemson to keep it close. I live in northern NC so I don’t purchase season tix and donate at a lower tier. I was able to purchase lower level seats through Clemson. I was surprised by this and don’t expect a strong Clemson contingent for the noon game.

You stated "Athens city police" and now you state Clarke County Police Department. Neither of those agencies have existed singularly since 1991.
If we're going to cite law firm webpages as sources:
Neither this one nor this one list a parking ticket as being grounds for a suspended license.
Again I ask, please state the actual code section.
If you are driving my car and park it illegally and it gets ticketed, but you toss the ticket, how does it ever get linked to your driver's license for suspension?
A suspended registration and a suspended driver's license are two different things.
Usually, unpaid parking tickets result in either a boot being placed on the car or it being towed.

You barely beat Kentucky in the bowl game. Georgia beats us like a drum. They are much much better.

In the 90's, unpaid parking tickets in Athens resulted in jack shite. UGA parking tickets were a different story.
ETA- that was for going over the parking meter. I never got a "real" one for illegal parking, or fire zone, etc. The ones for expired meter could go unpaid with zero consequences back then.

I had the opposite experience in the 90s. Clarke County tracked me down and doubled my parking fines.
I didn’t registered my car with UGA and they never crossed referenced it with the DMV. I parked wherever I wanted on campus. I had hundreds of dollars in fines with parking services never paid anything.

As a freshman, I had a parking space in the garage by Russell. So my vehicle info was on file. All future UGA parking violations result in your records being flagged, couldn't register for classes. Pay or you don't go to school here anymore.
Clarke never tracked me down for the unpaid expired meter tickets. I guess I got lucky?

Any time we play Clemson it is a game I like to watch. It should be good. Our QB is Heisman contender and is expected to be in NY for the ceremony. Well, it is predicted by writers...who knows? We'll see. But he is a very accurate passer. Our offense is expected to be really, really good this coming season, so it will be interesting to see how we match up against Clemson's defense, and we expect our defense to be excellent as well.
