Would they play in Atlanta though? Ohio State "hosting" OU in AZ is a geographical disadvantage for #1.

I'm kind of torn on what they will choose. Atlanta is closer, but that Phoenix weather though.

Clemson is southern?

Their main building on campus is still named after a guy who lynched so I'd say so.

All I know is that if LSU goes back to Atlanta they need to fix that field. I don't know if it was the turf or pellets, but guys were slipping a lot.

In Northwest SC near the border with GA and has historically been one of the most conservative public universities in the country. To even ask that question is ridiculous.

historically the south was fiscally liberal and Democrat so you don't even understand southern history.

Clemon has a ton of 'woke' leftwing professors and students

it isn't the capital of anything but Georgia

for most people in south, it is just another city that they might drive through on the way somewhere else or have a connecting flight.

The South has consistently been the most socially conservative place in America. And you conflate fiscal liberalism with agrarian populism. They share some similarities, but most agrarian populists in the South opposed FDR's New Deal in the 1930's and 1940's. One of the most ardent opponents of FDR and the New Deal was our own U.S. Senator Cotton Ed Smith, who was from Lee County.
