Tailgating with a view of the blue ridge mountains.

I hope it's not hard for you to find a spot with all their bollards all over campus

Ubering may be very difficult. There’s only a few roads into campus and they have all of the traffic going in one direction and have stops checking parking passes. You’d probably be dropped off far from the stadium. When you want to be picked up it will be an even more difficult situation as they have 100% of the traffic leaving the stadium. All lanes are flowing out like an evacuation plan. This is like this for at least 2-3 hours.

In other words, their traffic control sucks.

There are several cow pastures that encircle the stadium...you just have to get there early or the cows will get there first and do their dumping.

It makes for a rather aromatic tailgating experience.

Just googled Clemson tailgate.

It has an SEC look to it. Y'all should fit right in

What’s your problem? Everyone knows that schools with orange colors like to have sex with cows while tailgating for football games. They do it in Austin too but I don’t see you pointing that out!

The ESSO will be a good a stop. It’s a bar and restaurant right across from the stadium. It will be packed and don’t plan on finding a seat to order food but they’ll have plenty of beer and usually a live band. It’s always a good mix of home and away fans. Anywhere on campus near the stadium you’ll find a ton of Clemson fans that will invite you to tailgate. From what I heard last year Clemson fans had a good experience tailgating in College Station. Cheers!

Having said that, finding parking in a lot near the stadium is impossible. All the lots are permit only parking for IPTA members, etc. You'll likely need to park on the golf course a mile or so from the stadium and make the hike.

Parking without a pass is terrible. Picking up a game parking pass is the best bet.
If you don't want to mess with that or riding around looking for a pay lot, you can always park at the YMCA and take the buses. They run pretty much nonstop all gameday.
Or you can park at Newspring and ride a shuttle (small donation for the cause requested).

No it doesn’t. It’s a small town that balloons to 100k people in a day with only a couple of primary roads out of Clemson. They have a very good transportation planning professor there that has studied that thing to death... sometimes you don’t have many good options.

In other words, they built more stadium than they had roads to support.

That's poor traffic control planning.

Ever been to a Nascar race in Darlington? I have. Same small town, same two lane roads in and out. I was off raceway property in under 15 min's and back at my.uncle's house on the far side of Lexington in under 2 hours.

We parked on the side of the road in a pretty cheap paid lot, had a blast tailgating. Thought the fans were great, tailgating was great.

That's not really the point. The point is, once the stadium is built, they should resize the roads to meet the maximum traffic demands.
