Texas Tech would be a terrible replacement. And why add another Texas school (in small market west Texas/Lubbock), just to inherit a notoriously volatile fanbase and a much smaller national footprint?
They may be a shiny new toy right now, but extreme NIL spending by one donor doesn’t guarantee staying power. We’ve seen “sexy” programs like Colorado/Coach Prime flame out fast. Hot today does not guarantee stable, long-term.

I don't wan't LSU to leave the SEC. But, if I knew the replacement was Clemson, I would never be able to stop laughing. That is a not an upgrade,sir. I'm sure the rest of the SEC would just love that trade.
