If Clemson won titles in the past, there's no reason to believe they can't win one in the future.
I'm sure you believe Florida can win titles again with the right coach. I would never make the dumb argument Florida can't win another title.
with the new 12 team playoff, it will no doubt be harder for teams to win titles. there will be teams that lost twice maybe three times in the regular season win the title.

Bowers is UGA's Hunter Renfrow.
Renfrow was the sauce of those Clemson playoff team offenses. 3 different Clemson QBs made it to playoffs with Renfrow.
Everybody knew Renfrow was going to catch that ball to beat Alabama. He is him.
it can be hard to replace those guys.
think Clemson averages at least 10 more points a game with Renfrow the past 3 years.
you can't forget about Travis ETN as well.

Clemson was decimated in D today. All-American MLB sat out due to draft. As did DT. As did the #1 or #2 CB off the next draft board, who is actually fast enough to run with Brown. As did a starting safety due to the portal. The replacements? Three true freshman, one sophomore. Honestly, KY got a sweet deal by not having to face anything resembling the true Clemson defense. The actual defense is as good as ever, the offense is just the frustrating problem.

Now, truer than ever, bowls outside the playoffs are more or less exhibitions, which can be their own kind of entertaining, but should in no way be considered a metric for a team’s overall success that season.

Wish we'd been neutral observers for this game, because from an entertainment standpoint this might have been the most engaging back and forth game played thus far in the bowl season. Hard to relax and enjoy when it's your team who's on the line. Congratulations on the W Clemson. It was a heckuva game.
