Mizzou's student govt has 9 executive cabinet post, 5 are filled by african americans. The president and vice president are both african american. SMH

I lol at ESPN having Howard Bryant on TV all day acting like this was some historic moment, instead of ignoring how much of a sham this protest really is.

I can't understand why they wouldn't want photographic documentation of this "historic" moment. Mahatma Gandhi had no problem with his protests being documented. After all, that is how an impact is made over a larger portion of people than simply those in the neighborhood.
Don't see how preventing a student photographer and person of color document the event is a detriment to the cause... unless the hunger strike guy is hidden behind the walls of social injustice, eating everything in sight

(CBS/AP) BUCKLAND, Mass. - Howard Bryant, a senior writer for ESPN, has been arrested in Massachusetts on charges including domestic assault and resisting arrest.
State police say the 42-year-old Bryant was arrested in front of a pizza parlor Saturday in Buckland, in western Massachusetts. Witnesses told police they saw a man choking and pinning a woman against a parked car.
Police say Bryant struck a state trooper in the chest with his elbow. He was freed on $5,000 bail and is being arraigned Monday in Greenfield District Court. Bryant lives in nearby Ashfield.
Police did not disclose the woman's relationship to Bryant.
ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz says the company is gathering information.

I just found it interesting that in such a racist university the student govt, which is voted on by the student body would be run by African Americans.

I haven't followed this story that well. So I've tried to refrain from developing an opinion that may not be based on the full picture.
