One is the blue blood old money law/business/medical school. One is the land grant ag/engineering school.

People like me, who don't like our fan base acting like a bunch of self-righteous pieces of shite?

Asking the question is, in and of itself, classless. If you want to split hairs.

But you keep on fighting the good fight.

because sidewalk fans tend to support the bigger school.

They support the state school, Auburn, for almost 30 years, was a larger school than bama. it wasnt until their recent enrollment hike, that they now are bigger

Auburn has less trailer trash.

This.

But, y'all both are from Alabama, so.... It's like asking who is the biggest war/human rights crimial? Mao Tse Tung or Joseph Stalin. When the human slaughter reaches millions, most people pretty much stop keeping score.

Up-voted for originality even if it's not factual. Still a good post!

I'll never get these threads. Every school in the SEC, with the exception of maybe Vandy, has an extremely trashy contingent as well as their share of intelligent, well informed, and relatively classy fans. To act like yours is any better than the next is just dumb.

As an insider I feel that we have one of the classiest fanbases in the country.

If I was an outsider I can imagine why other people would not think that.

I compare it to Ohio State fans in general. The Alums are generally smart fun people. But there is a lot of Midwestern trash that jump on the OSU train and they become the face of the program.

I have seen alof of trashy auburn fans. Been assaulted by one. Treated poorly by even some seemingly "classy" auburn fans.

But the perception is that we have more these un-classy fans, but that is because we have a bigger fanbase.

Unlike Alabama, a significant percentage of Auburn's student body actually live in trailers. That's not a joke.

This may have been the case historically, but these differences are blending together. Alabama has invested heavily in its engineering program and I don't think anyone wanting to go into law, business, or medicine is at any real disadvantage at Auburn.

Oh please. Half of both schools are Atlanta area kids who couldn't get into UGA.

That was true when I was there 15 years ago. Back in the day, you were a motherfricking pimp if you had a yard and could have a house party (er, trailer party) off campus.

Not so much anymore.

There are still a few down Wire Rd.

Haha yeah I was unsure how to phrase that without calling them the flagship school. You are correct though.

And you sound like someone that cannot distinguish between real life and a virtual message board fan. I can split the two apart because this is pure entertainment for me just as professional wrestling is. I know it's fake but I enjoy the entertainment. Relax before you have a stroke or heart attack.
