4th notable game is against Purdue.

The big is better at the top, but falls well short afterwards.

the season can't get here soon enough

Michigan cheated their way to a title
Ohio St bought Ole Miss best RB and Bama's best DB to win a title
Indiana is spending Mark Cuban money

I'm starting to warm to Sankey's breakaway league.
SEC can go to 24 teams
Add a few ACC and Big 12 teams to round it out and play it off
SEC can create their own rules that all teams agree to or bail out of the conference if you don't want to play by the rules

The SEC basketball and baseball tourneys are already as competitive as any NCAA tourney

LSU would do the same for another title. So would 90% of the SEC schools.

Every school buys players through the NIL.

Spending in college football is the highest it's ever been.

I don't think Sankey can manage the league on his own. It'll take new blood to do it.

Excuses, excuses and not even valid ones. LSU's last two Heisman winners were Ohio State and ASU transfers and SEC NIL budgets lead the country.

I say we just secede from the union again. Well…those of us that did it last time anyway. Not sure we’d miss the 2 damn yankee teams anyway..

Cleans up a lot and we don’t hafta deal with World Cup soccer.

I'm guessing Holier-Than-Thou Texas A&M is part of the 10% that wouldn't?

What would y'all do just to score a CFP touchdown?

Only 90 percent of the schools. That exact number? Please name the ones that wouldn't and don't say Vandy because they would let Pavia play 8 years if they could find a judge to allow it.

It is kind of interesting to think about what college football would look like if the sec split off. Here's what the last 3 national championship games would have looked like without the sec:
Michigan vs Washington
Ohio State vs Notre Dame
Indiana vs Miami

Just a guess... you don't think one school wouldn't cheat?

I think just as much as transfer portal and NIL, the SEC does not have the best coaches. Arkansas are well versed in this…
