Yeah I see where you're coming from, but honestly I would be worried if Bama lost any of O-Line....those guys seem to work well with each other.

And in the end Yahoo was the real winner. Between Feldman and Forde (I know you hate him) they have like #1 and #3 CFB writers in the country.
Feldman's at CBS, bro.
ETA: And where did you pick up that I hate Forde? I love the Forde Yard Dash.
Avy confusion must be the answer.

If it WAS and MCL, he won't be gone the whole season. Probably 4-6 weeks.
We still don't know if it was an MCL or an ACL.
Obviously, we are hoping for an MCL. Bama game is in 8 weeks. We should have enough to win until then. The guys behind him are solid and there is lots of depth on the OLine. We have recruited very well there and getting JoshD back is a huge win for us. He was our best OLinemen last year and he got hurt in camp. We made it.
LSU has lost 3 starters in the past couple of weeks - one a Heisman finalist and national defensive player of the year in Mathieu (and the spark of our defense) and the other, a 1st Team All-American LT who was likely a first round draft pick.
Here is the ugly truth that LSU fans don't want to admit: We are not as good as we were. We have taken a major blow and will likely not be as good as last year in the ways that we were last year. This is now a completely different team and you could see it last week. The difference is, however, we have a chance to have a passing game that is consistent which would make up for the things we have lost - and we have LOTS of young talent across the board.
But, I do not feel as good about the season as I once did.

Some beast was just waiting for this chance to come in and start. I think we'll be alright.

Fuuuuuuuck me
This is a bigger lost than HB. We're DBU, not OLU.
It's time for Josh to step up I guess. The guy's gotta be close to having grandkids by now. He's been on the team since I was in Jr High.

Me either. You can only take so many hits. I am about to remove myself somewhat, this shite is just pissing me off. I see 2 losses, maybe more.

If someone besides the times picayune could clarify "likely done for the season" I would feel better. Because if it is a mcl the recovery time is cut in half and we will have him for the back end of the season where it matters. We have Washington, Idaho, AU, townson. I fricking hate les miles super secret injury crap

Great! I didn't mean to doubt you. I just meant that it wasn't confirmed yet.
Any idea how long he will be out?

Adversity makes people do all sorts of things no one expects. LSU's schedule isn't as bad as last year.
Losing an O-lineman is always tough, even if the position is deep. Alabama had taken a few hits to their line last year when they played LSU, and you could definitely see it. And when they were spanked by Utah, they loss of André Smith was definitely felt. That said, it's early in the season and LSU has a good bit of time to get the guys the experience they need. Granted, it won't be with Faulk, but you never know who will step up. I know it's disappointing, but they are a bunch of fighters...

It might just be my perception, but I always feel like people who are built like linemen need more time to recover for knee injuries... Body mass and knees don't make for good physics.

Yea just saw that. Bigger loss than HB7 IMO.
yea, but we lost both. this year has bad shite omens written all over it. if nothing else happens we probably will be OK but its too damn early to say nothing else will happen.
