come on now. he did bring them here. he is obviously smart enough to surround himself with a good staff. i think if gus leaves, he will replace him with the best in the biz.
Probably a bit of hyperbole on my part, but I'm not sold on Chiz. Gus, yes. Chiz, not so much.

Chizik sucks, he is just surrounded with talent right now.

Gus, yes. Chiz, not so much.

Who assembled the talent?

do YOU think Meyer is a better coach than Saban, or are you just playing devils advocate
How can you say he isnt? Meyer's record is incredible. He just burned out.
There's nothing you can show me that says Saban is a better coach- Meyer's numbers are better...hell, Saban only won 6 games at Mich State 3 of the 5 years he coached there

chizik doesn't have to understand on the field winning himself... as long as he understands how to hire the right guys that can.
there are multiple types of HC's that have winning formulas and THEY are responsible for the winning. but, i'd always rather have a control freak that understands winning on EVERY level.

John Parker Wilson is a Falcon...I'd have to look it up- give me a few mins

It's looking like Jay Jacobs, Bobby Lowder, Milton McGregor and Pat Dye.

no offense, but i'm too tired to argue something that's very clear to folks that understand why Saban is infact a better coach that Meyer. it doesn't matter to me one way or another if you see it or not.

He didn't go 12-2 in his second year off of freshmen.
Not exactly true. UA played more true freshmen than any other team in cfb that season except for FSU.

from what i understand, he's just doing a lot of wearing their uniform and keeping the bench warm.

i dont think many auburn fans are. i understand a lot of it has come from chizik, but thats what makes a good head coach. if you can bring in the best to be around you, you dont have to be the best yourself. he knew what he had to do to win, and did it, but yes i agree, the verdict is still out on chizik. he has done terrific so far, but id like to judge him in a couple years.

It takes a man to give credit where credit is due.
You, apparently, haven't hit that point yet.

chizik will likely be exposed soon though stanky legg.. i mean, he may not have even assembled the crew.

JPW scored more points for opponents than the margin of victory in six games, I believe (pick six or fumbles) during his last two seasons. That's six losses directly attributable to a single person.
I don't hate the guy, but I'd hardly consider him top talent, even if he is riding the pine in ATL right now.

Exposed. Like 2nd half of this year's Iron Bowl exposed?

?
No, exposed as in... losing multiple times next year.. AND looking lost. not losing by 1 point to a cheating team that's in the national championship... and should have still whipped y'all's asses :)

Saban impresses me as a program manager, not a coach. Chizik is in the same mold IMO.
