re: Chizik & Roof's adjustments this week

we wanted to play a whole lot of man coverage going in because there were some situations and things that they did that present problems. But we’re always going to play a blend of coverages, but we want to be ultra aggressive and get up there and let our corners play press and that’s what we want to hang our hat on.

The problem with Roof's defense is you have to get pressure and we didn't. If the defense doesn't get pressure this week they need to change their strategy. Chizik needs to start calling plays if it gets too bad.

I don't think Roof makes the adjustments,I think Chizik does at half time.There is no way Roof made the adjustment at Alabama and kept LJ from running on us last year.

Sounds about right.

It has to be something like that, granted we were better up front last year but you cant say if you watched "Roof's half-time adjustments" last year 90% time it has had chizik's fingerprints all over it.I know it didn't happen Saturday.8-10yd cushion zone defense against screen passes and runs is not chizik's MO.
