Harlem Berry has a shot. Lane’s history shows that he likes to have a true feature back rather than spreading it out.

Agreed, it just doesn't seem to be Kirby's style unless we have someone truly elite like Brock Bowers. I keep hoping for a 1k receiver though

I hope not. I hope Alabama can successfully spread the ball around and have a serviceable running game.

Not having at least one of these I don't think is a good thing imo

Alabama has had a QB go over 3,500 yards in a season only 4 times. Only one of those won a national championship. They have had a receiver go over 1,000 yards 13 times. Only three of those resulted in a national championship. Alabama has had a back go over 1,000 yards 24 times, but only 7 of those won a national championship. Gaudy stats are fun. But Alabama has a much better track record when the ball is spread around and they don’t rely too heavily on one player. But that means you have to have the players to spread the ball around to. I hope that is the case this season.

I'm reading this as 11 of 18 (citation needed) national championships included a player who filled 1 of these 3 stat prerequisites
