If it were on Saturday, probably. But, being on a Thursday makes it a "no" for me.

Feels weird not having a Spurrier led South Carolina team open the season on Thursdays anymore (yes it's been over 10 years but it still feels weird)

There won’t be many folks at the Alabama game, I'm afraid. They’re saying it will officially be the hottest Alabama football game ever, with a heat index of 110.

We also have an 11:00am kick, so I doubt there will be much if any tailgating around campus (we’re not even setting up our tent).
Great to have football back, but this is a pretty terrible spot ESPN put us in.
And ECU is a low-key decent team.

Make the four hour drive to College Station Friday afternoon.
Saturday, I will watch a lot of football on TV until heading over to campus around 2:45 (6:00 kickoff). I used to go to a friend's tailgate pretty regularly, but, as I've gotten older, I find that I don't like standing around in the heat, so I will probably hang out at the MSC after I get parked and enjoy the AC.
Head back home Sunday morning aiming to get back by noon.
