True story. I had a buddy that always wanted to go hog hunting. He got with a buddy of his that did hog hunting, and raised dogs for chasing the hogs. He wouldn't let anybody hunt the hogs with a gun because he didn't want somebody to accidentally kill one of his dogs. So they did exactly what you described. Went hog hunting with knives.
