Doesn't this happen every year with Miss State? Start with inflated record from playing nobody then crash and burn in conference.

Nope. Just the opposite. We end up 7-5 or 8-4 with a couple of bad losses and then we have a 2 week stretch in the SEC team where we fight to get on the bubble then lose to a bottom feeder and make the NIT.
We are very likely to enter SEC play with a top five NET. With 4 of our first eight games in conference play against Alabama and Tennessee, we should be able to stay in the top 20 unless we just tank.
