Let's be honest, half the posters here should "check in" but won't. America is a fat and gross country now.
That is the least of the problems in America. It should be why aren't people not being Christian and follow Christian ways? That is the number one issues because you see crimes all over USA.

I eat Keto.
It's the only time in my life I've been happy while eating only 1500 calories a day.
I also do intermediate fasting. I eat breakfast every day around noon, and then I eat my last bit around 8pm. I always start the day with bacon and eggs, sometimes sausage from time to time. It's fricking delicious and it's like 75-80% fat.
It's definitely not BS, but it's very hard to do properly. You have to weigh and measure what you eat. Lucky for me my wife does all that. And there are lots of hidden carbs in food, you can't just take the bun off a burger.
My problem after doing it for over 3 years is I'm just sick and tired of the limited menu. So I don't really stick to it as much as I previously did. I probably take in about 20-50 carbs a day rather than keeping it under 20 like I use to. AKA I'm putting some sweet baby rays on my grilled chicken.
It's not for everyone. If you aren't someone who likes fattier foods I wouldn't recommend it. Because it doesn't matter what diet you do, if you quit the diet you will gain the weight back. It has to be a lifestyle change. I'm thinking about how good those bacon and eggs are going to be tomorrow already.

Lots of ways to lose weight. Most of them work if you stay with it. Here's a plan if you want to drop it pretty fast without feeling terrible. And no exercise until you hit goal weight.
Cut out the alcohol and stick to this, and most men with abdominal fat will drop 25-40 pounds in 12 weeks. First 3-4 days will suck. After your body starts burning fat, there is an energy high as long as you stay on. Daily caloric intake here is 1,000-1,100.
1. Drink half an ounce of water each day for every pound of weight. You weigh 250 lbs? That is 125 ounces across the day.
2. Eat 100-120 or so calories 5 times per day, spaced by 2-3 hours. Can't go above 10-12 carb grams with each snack. Use whatever bars or shakes you find at the grocery that are in that calorie/carb range. Set an alarm for when it is time to eat again and do it, even when you are not hungry.
3. One meal per day that includes 6-8 ounces of non-fatty protein and 3 cups of no-low carb vegetables (mostly green). Eat that meal whatever time works for you.
4. Pick one day a week for weigh in day. Don't get on the scale every day. Measure your around your waist, hips, thighs, biceps, and neck before you start. Then repeat on weight in day.
That's it. Do it. Twelve weeks is not even a football season. Next time you won't have to check in on the Fatty roll call.

Put on the super hero spandex kit and ride a bike 150 miles a week. Eat/drink what you want. Works for me.

I think you mean intermittent fasting. I do the same thing + keto but because it’s the only thing that keeps my Lyme disease in check. I’ve been on keto for over a year and haven’t lost a single lb.
Of course I’ve been 175-180 my entire life.

I'm 5'11" and 3/4 or so (I just say 5'11", but I'm damn near 6'0" I think), and 170 lbs. I have cut back tremendously on alcohol but still go out roughly two times a week or so. With that being said I only drink Michelob Ultra or Miller Lite, and if I drink liquor it's vodka water.
Heaviest I ever got to was around 210 and that was not a good look on me. That was back in 2018 when I was drinking a lot more and my 'light' beer of choice was Yuengling and I dabbled in the craft game a lot more.

Exactly. The weight loss regimens of the past were about caloric restrictions and calorie burn.
My doc taught me that weight loss/gain was ultimately hormonal. The inverse relationship between insulin and glucagon and what triggers them. I was road cycling about 200 miles a week(fast pace, not tooling around), limiting caloric intake and couldn’t lose weight. If I did, it was muscle mass. I went healthy keto and after about 5 weeks of getting it right, I lost 32 lbs. in a month. I was eating more calories, just less than 50 grams of carbs per day.
