ITT: lots of people that have never been to Columbia.
For a GameDay experience I would obviously pick LSU 10 times out of 10, but I'd rather hang out in Columbia any day over hanging out in baton rouge.

Our first time ever to Columbia, Mizzou
Is this LSU's first trip to Columbia? Or just yours? If this is LSU's first trip to Missouri since they joined the conference then the schedulers have royally fricked up

They were up here 2 years ago

Hopefully their fans have assimilated into the culture better. We went years ago and most looked stunned to see so many visiting fans. Very little interaction or hospitality. Columbia seemed to be a bit of a dud.

Joke's on you. Mizzou is totally made up. There isn't even a state named "Missouri."
p.s. I think it is in October, so you could get a warm day, or a cold one. Pack a jacket.

I was at that game and you are absolutely right. I admit that was probably one of the lamest atmospheres I've ever been to in CoMo...didn't help that y'all beat us like a drum in that game and it was 95 degrees out.

I read missouri has a commanding 2-1 record over LSU.
missouri fans made it sound like they were up 10-1 or some shite.

This is LSU's first scheduled trip. The only other time we played there was a hurricane relocation that was scheduled that week, so no time to prepare and it's not like everyone from Louisiana was willing to leave their home and all their belongings during a storm, or were at least evacuating to other family's homes.
You're 100% correct. LSU has been an adamant opponent to the current scheduling format. Prior to expanding with Mizzou and A&M, you got to play in every stadium in the conference in a 4 year span. That's how it should be. 9 game schedule with 2 permanents would get us back to that at the very least. That's how it needs to be.

I was there as well, and I second that. It was one of the worst non-FCS opponent games I've ever attended at Faurot Field.

Not a Mizzou fan, but lived in Como for 6 years. The majority of restaurants in Columbia serve elevated bar food. Wings are a really big deal there. Agree with Booches and Broadway Diner; both are very small places with great food and minimal seating. During Covid, the owner of Broadway Diner cooked for school kids and anyone who needed a meal. I’m not sure if he had any staff to assist. He is a stellar human.
G&D’s Steak House-family style steak house between the stadium and I-70. Moderately priced, extremely quick service, We always got toasted ravioli and steak sandwiches. Best toasted ravioli in Columbia. Located behind Texas Roadhouse, next door to Best Buy.
G&D Steak House
Just Jeff’s - drive-thru only; nothing fancy, burgers, dogs etc. Chicago-ish, great Italian Beef. Just Jeffs
Glenn’s Cafe-located in the Tiger Hotel downtown. (aka The District). Everything we ever ordered there was good. They have white tablecloths on one side of the restaurant if you want to dress up and the other side is more casual. Decent brunch. Glenn’s Cafe
Oktoberfest in Hermann MO is huge; it’s about an hour west of Columbia
Oktoberfest
JJ’s-nothing overwhelming, but better breakfast than Cracker Barrel.
JJ’s Cafe
Wineries-several in central MO. This one is on the outskirts of Columbia. Les Bourgeois Vineyards
In Hermann Adam Puchta
Clydesdale Ranch-love this place
Warm Springs Ranch
If you’re able to, skip the I-55 route through St Louis and come up through the Ozarks. The leaves should be starting to change, and it’s a beautiful area of the country.

Our group's first visit there also. 6 of us. Leaving Metairie Thursday the 5th.. We will probably visit Graceland and St. Louis.
For $50 you can sit/stand on the hill to watch the gameb in the end zone. At the wall you're right there near the playing field. The Mizzou Golden Girls are between the end zone and the wall. Makes for some really nice "views"
You'll have to make your way up the hill to get a better view when the plays are at mid field or on the other side.
Before the game starts, Truman's Taxi, which is a antique fire truck will make its way around the stadium. It will be spraying water into the crowd. It's not the typical fire fighting blast, but if you're allergic to water, take a few steps back
