Texas was preseason No. 2, went undefeated, and beat No. 1 in the end. '07 NYG was a 10-6 wildcard team with good fortune in the playoffs.

Nothing special about that. The USC/UT Rose Bowl will go down as one of the best championship games in cfb history, but the rest of the '05 UT season was meh.
