Did you know that the ENTIRE State of Texas has only won 1 national title in Division 1 football since 1970
That is closing in on 50 years. I thought football was important in Texas and they were good at it. I guess not.

Aggy really doesn’t like you very much.
Any time we speak of burnt orange or Austin, aggy starts to shake and nearvously look around.
She likes to act like that guy on kill bill. Hatori Hanzo. The second you mention Texas around here, she writes his name on the wall and looks away.

You’d think texas was dominant in these sports “in our lifetimes” the way you crow about it.
Baseball has had success - 1983, 2002, 2005 - congrats!
But the last decade has been pretty lean, based on results.

poor aggy can’t relate to winning national championships, or even being close to contending for them. In my relatively short life, I’ve personally witnessed baseball national championships, a football national championship, and a Final Four appearance. All of which come with fond memories.
Where do aggy’s fond sports memories come from? A lone win over Alabama in football? Sweet 16 appearances with a coach you fired? 7 OT wins? A 1993 win in the first game of the CWS, then losing the next two?

If you haven’t been long, there is a serious emotion-triangle between aggy, Alabama and Texas. And aggy is the confused, hurt one.
1. She mentions Alabama 4 times a day in a wanna-hump-hump kind of way. And that’s sick.
2. But you, Texas....you? She speaks of you as if she’s answering the question:
“where did the longhorn touch you?”
They go into some past memories where they (and partially Missouri, but they really mean nothing to the sec) say , “oh, you don’t want any part of Texas. They will Run all over you and not even thank you for all the acquiesce you’ve done. They are sooooooo mean. “
It’s really a joyful read. But you should have seen them they say that Alabama lost to Clemson. They had the sads.

It’s actually 2 since 1970 bubs. Strangely, if you pushed your arbitrary timeline back just ONE. MORE. SEASON. it would be 3. All by the same university. I’ll let you guess who has those 3.

There are 13 year old Texas fans that have witnessed more national championships in their lifetime than an 80 year old aggy fan.

We are talking about your lifetime though, not the past decade.
They may not be world beaters in football right now, but they have more NY6 wins than aggy. That 2005 Natty is more than anything aggy has ever accomplished on the gridiron. I hope you are an older dude, otherwise you’ve grown up watching big brother outdo you in every major sport.
