Unless I'm remembering wrong, the NCAA never investigated Gadsden, as it was bogus from the get go.

So you can't find anything? So your boy NBamaAlum is full of shite since he said NCAA investigated and released statement saying it was over and never found anything?

quote:

I have never seen the NCAA end an investigation without something being alleged against the University. Have you?

According to NBamaAlum, Bama.

I don't have a vivid memory of NCAA investigations, that's why I'm asking you guys.

It's about to get good. Looks like NBamaAlum unwittingly admitted the NCAA is still investigating Bama about the Gadsden stuff.

Using their logic, if the NCAA hasn't said the investigation is over, it means it's still ongoing

I'm going off memory. I haven't looked up anything. He may be more knowledgeable than I on it. I wouldn't presume to answer for him.

I don't case by case. But I can't recall, ever, a school being investigated, that some allegation didn't come from it. I personally, cannot remember any school being exonerated completely from an investigation. Especially one that is several months old or pushing a year old by them.

Let me use some of your verbage. "Maybe you misread" my statement. I didn't say shite about Bama. You read into it the way that you wanted to. What is the old saying? "Bit dog barks" or something along those lines...

As an aside, I think it was the Sooners or someone like that.

Now, it's your turn to provide a link that they started an investigation for the Jerrell Harris packet that Auburn fans put together.

I didn't think the NCAA ever stopped an investigation just in case new evidence came in. But even though it's still open doesn't mean they're are actually working on it.

I never claimed they did, that was your boy who insinuated it. Of course he's backtracking now and claiming he's talking OU

So, Alahunter, you're the google whore around here and you can't find me a single instance of NCaa announcing an investigation is over without any findings?

Didn't the NCAA say that they hadn't found any wrongdoing by Auburn in the Cam case? I know that does not mean the case is closed by any means. The NCAA is going to look into this until they can say without a doubt, absolutely no wrongdoing has taken place. This is going to take time, but with all the attention that has been focussed on Auburn, the fact that nothing has come out, its going to take a lot more than a journalist saying we will be in trouble to spook me.

You bama guys are the same way about the Gadsden crap, because with all that has been speculated and said, nothing substantial has ever come of it. Same thing here, just on a much larger scale.

How can you backtrack off of something you never declared?

OK fine, whichever school you were talking about, link me the statement from the NCAA saying they closed the investigation without any findings like you claimed earlier.

If you can't provide it, just simply say it. It was my original question before you started talking about Gadsde... i mean OU

At this time. That's how they ended the statement. And they've been investigating ever since.

Except, nobody has shown where the NCAA was investigating Bama over the infamous Jerrell Harris packet that stalking Au fans put together.

Rhett Bomar at OU is what I was thinking of and talking about in my first post. I think the NCAA cleared OU of any wrongdoing and stated as much.

Burns you up that you went straight to Gadsden, doesn't it?

Yes you do care otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question, or have put thought into how AU fans have reacted to an investigation. Someone that truly didn't care wouldn't even take the time to comment or pose questions at all, right?

Wrong. I don't care. It wont affect my one bit. I just read the comments and noted the ho-hum attitude of AU fans. If the NCAA were looking into my school's program I'd be a tad bit nervous. Of course, with the jackass we have as a head coach I live with that fear daily.

Could it be the NCAA found nothing wrong with Cam's recruitment yet are looking into the allegations made on the HBO show?

As far as Cam goes one would think that is over since the NCAA cleared him to play last year.

The eligibility of Alabama linebacker Jerrell Harris is in question because of an ongoing investigation by the university's compliance staff, the Press-Register has learned.

UA has not yet received a ruling from the NCAA in regards to Harris. Any potential violations are believed to be of a secondary nature, but Harris could miss Saturday's game against Virginia Tech as a result

This is what I was thinking of.

quote:

The NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee released a ruling Friday that Oklahoma should not have been found guilty of separate violations for failing to detect that football players were working at a Norman car dealership and failing to monitor those students' employment.

Take it for what it is worth. My memory is a little fuzzy of '08.

That was an appeals hearing for infractions they were found guilty of previously.

Regardless, the point I'm making is this. If the NCAA never finds anything on AU, they're not going to come out and say "We've found nothing on AU, it's over". I feel like that b/c i cant think of any instance in which the NCAA did it in the past.

So it's going to be 10 years down the road and Bammers will still be saying "but they're still investigating AU"
