I don’t think we expect much from Morris in year one, but year 2 he’ll start to have some expectations.

Chad Morris or Jeremy Pruitt

Pruitt, dude could be the Belichick/Saban of this era in terms of college football, defensive-based head coaches, simply brilliant, connections in Bama, tremendous recruiter arguably one of the best in the ENTIRE COUNTRY, assembled a Murderers' Row coaching staff, and will coach in the East with a lower degree of difficulty as compared to the West. No joke, we literally could be witnessing the birth of a legend up in Knoxville these next few years.

I don't know that Pruitt is a great salesman of a recruiter. Baggage doesn't sell momma.

That said, he might be the best talent evaluator in the conference. His 3 stars will be better than other 3 stars. His 4 stars will be better than other 4 stars. I just don't expect him to win the head to head recruiting wars.

Chad might be a good coach but we won't really find out until he leaves the abyss of Arkansas football

I’m not sold on either and if I’m a betting man then I’d bet that neither get to Atlanta. If we’re talking best shot though then it’s Pruitt. Any program in the east has an immensely easier row to hoe. Pruitt will also be able to recruit better and won’t have to deal with question marks if he does pull in top recruits because he is coaching at a traditional power.

I would rather have Morris but neither make it to Atlanta

Chad Morris is the better coach IMHO.

Also, I predict Chavis will do better at Arkansas than he did at A&M. Still think that hire is somewhat questionable, but I can see why he did it.

I think Pruitt will do well though and like the direction he took with the staff.

I don't know. Morris is from Edgewood, Texas. Just east of Dallas. Pruitt is pure Sand Mountain, Alabama.

Pruitt is clearly an unknown but obviously he can recruit with the best of them and I did not anticipate him bringing a staff this good

Pruitt, maybe. He has a long road ahead of him though. And UT plays Bama every year so that will hold them back.

Well, many of them played for Stallings. He produced some pretty good disciples himself.

Very meh.

Yeah and almost worse he included Bama and Auburn in the same sentence. That should only be done if you're just referencing teams in the state of Alabama.

Morris isn't getting top tier recruits in Texas to Arkansas. Mid-tier, maybe

Pruitt will have UT on probation.

Morris is the better hire.

I don't understand why people have written off the Chavis hire as terrible. A lot of good years at UT and LSU, but didn't do exceedingly well at A&M.

Kevin Steele sucked at Clemson, doing well at Auburn.

Muschamp was not good at Auburn after doing well previously there.

Diaz was bad at Texas but was great at State and doing well at Miami.

You can't just write a guy off 100% because of one bad gig.

Chavis is good with elite talent - you have none of that, and probably won't even be able to get mid-tier
