Gun to your head, does either get their team to Atlanta? And if so, who is there first?

Tennessee has an easier path, I would assume.

Arkansas isn’t doing shite while Alabama and Auburn are in the SEC West. Texas A&M also owns Arkansas.

Like Morris but Chavis will hold him back.

TBD on Pruitt.

I don't think people are remembering just how bad our defense has been. It'll basically be impossible for Chavis to make it worse. And at the very least we'll get pressure on the QB for the first time in 4 years.

You will get pressure on the QB and give up nearly 200 yards from screen passes to backs. He is the most predictable coordinator OAT

Again, I don't think people remember how bad we were.

114th in scoring defense.
101st in total defense
97th in rushing defense
112th in defensive passing efficiency
125th in red zone defense
103rd in sacks
125th in TFLs

3rd and Chavis sounds like sex compared to that.

They were soft, fat, slow, conservative and weak. There is 0 chance Chavis doesn't improve on that.

The Chavis hire makes no sense. He'll be one year and done.

IF you want the easy answer... Pruitt's more likely simply because the SEC East is much easier.

Morris, however, can do something Arkansas desperately needs to happen... redefine their recruiting base. You see, Texas high school coaches wield and unfortunate amount of power, and if you aren't constantly groveling at their feet, or in their inner circle... you can shut yourself off completely.

Basically, even if Morris never gets to Atlanta, if he is a stable success over 7-8 years, and can snag top tier Texas recruits, he can leave the program in much better shape.

Chad Morris is more experienced, Jeremy Pruitt is as green as a grasshopper as a HC. Both have fan bases wanting immediate results.

I thought Butch and Bert would out perform Gus when they were all hired the same year due to the experience factor. Now 5 yrs later, look who pulled in a 7 yr/ $49 million guaranteed contract and look who’s no longer in the SEC.

I guess we’ll see in a few yrs.

I like you TT but it’s absurd to talk in absolutes like this.

Yeah, hiring one of the most accomplished DCs in SEC history makes no sense
