my lack of knowledge?

you are choosing to attack me for what exact reason arrakis? because i disagree with you? because the facts, as demonstrated by video, show me to be correct?

if you could leave off the snide remarks and personal attacks people might actually pay attention to you arrakis.

btw, exactly why would i trust your interpretation of a rule? just out of curiosity? you can not even hold a discourse without personal attacks.

if you want to change someones viewpoint, or if someone is in err you educate them, you do not however attack them and fluff your own ego at someone elses expense.

well, i guess i should say if you are secure in yourself you don't.

Look homers, it doesn't matter if his arm touched Joe Adams before the helmets hit. It's clear the brunt of the impact was helmet to helmet. Chad Jones was going full speed and leaning his helmet into the hit. That is dangerous to both players because it leads to just what we saw: A helmet to helmet collision that could have left either player with a broken neck.

He led with the helmet guys. Take the LSU glasses off.

Actually it was a collision and not meant to be a hit like that if you watch the tape he lead with the shoulder, Its a fact. Take your smug Gumpness and shove it. All you guys in Bama need glasses. I guess its not a problem if you all did not come from the same gene pool.

FACT: It was a helmet to helmet collision on a play where the defender clearly intended to lay a big hit on the WR. Chad Jones clearly meant to put a big hit on him because Joe Adams was already in the endzone with the ball. A tackle does nothing in that situation and Chad Jones knew it was a completion if doesn't go for the big hit.

FACT: his shoulder hit your player in the head, not his helmet.

Don't. Check the Play Bulletins from the NCAA and the A.R.'s.

I don't care if you change your mind or not. I've found most who post what you said don't "get it" and never will.
I've given you the information to educate yourself. The rest is up to you.

btw, yeah, he leans his head into the hit, because unless you are square with your target you lead with with the shoulder, putting your head on the side...

hmm, that sounds like what CJ did..

The problem is not the official (although the timing of actually throwing the flag and his vantage point is questionable) the problem is the rule sucks:
quote:

No player shall initiate contact and target a defenseless opponent
above the shoulders. When in question, it is a foul.

wtf?

When in doubt throw the flag...enough said. rule is written horribly.

im not being a douche, he didnt lead with his helmet.

he did however hit above the shoulder, which is a penalty, thus the flag.

thanks arrakis, makes sense now, and even though the official was quite a ways from the actual play it is not hard to imagine he saw what took place, just called the wrong penalty.
