Yet Alabama is the Regular Season champion and at the top of the SEC Standings

You would never heard a Bama fan claim this shite ten years ago.

Fear will do that to a man, I guess.

The committee is protecting Alabama from missing the playoff with a potential loss in the SEC CG

Vanderbilt should be ranked ahead of both Miami and Notre Dame

You’re contradicting yourself in those two statements alone because Alabama beat Vanderbilt and played a much more difficult schedule than Notre Dame.

lol at this. Notre dame plays nobody, gets beaten by any team with a pulse, and you’re confused as to why they’d be left out?

I could have sworn Alabama and Florida played in the SECCG 2020... and Alabama won... that makes Florida runner up or second or wtf ever....

And I’ll speak up for the Horns. Playing at The Buckeyes cost them the playoffs. Unfortunately playing great teams out of conference ain’t worth the gamble anymore.

This Auburn team only had one SEC win and it was against the team that had zero SEC wins.

Alabama fans don’t claim Conference Championships?

You do realize that the SEC Championship game hasn’t always existed?

Alabama won many SEC championship's before then and claim all of them.

Recency bias maybe?
I agree that the love for Tech makes little sense.

B. Alabama jumped Notre Dame

Possibly because Bama is facing UGA who they already beat? I don't know that it has anything to do with "protecting" Bama and suspect it has more to do with advancing to the CCG.

Next week, if Texas Tech beats BYU as expected, look for the Miami/Notre Dame debate to intensify

Yup. As others have pointed out, that is likely when Miami flips with Notre Dame in the rankings.

How is it possible for a 10-2 SEC team to not make the playoff?

Math.

3 Big Ten teams are locks.
You've got auto-bids for G5, Big 12 and ACC.
That leaves only 6 bids left.
Notre Dame or Miami are getting one of those bids.
That leaves 5.
SEC has 3 locks in UGA, A&M and Ole Miss. Bama is highly likely barring a very bad loss in CCG. Oklahoma is next up if we get 5 bids (assuming BYU loses). There isn't going to be room for Vandy or Texas. Vandy lost to Bama.

Which makes absolutely no argument in today's SEC. What's your point Gump?

I said ten years ago and we're talking about TODAY, dumbass.

And your Gators’ only SEC win was the OP’s team and Mississippi State. What’s your point?

Yep.. imagine what their record might have been if they hadn’t played Georgia, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Missouri.

They lost 6 conference games by a touchdown or less.. they lost by 10 to Georgia.

All 5-7 teams aren’t equal.

If they had gotten to play LSU, Miss St, Florida and South Carolina.. their record probably looks a little better

ND is out. Bama is in whether they win or not.

Yourichek says TX is out because of the FL loss.
Interesting.

What team dominated this very bad Auburn team?
On this we can agree. On a side note, next year should be eye opening. Golesh plus Durkin. Y'all are all on notice.

This is how you paint a picture for Bama to look good. They're very skilled at it.

Granted that incredible team he just built up so well, fired their coach!

Also by the committee overranking Oregon they will get a home game against James Madison if Duke beats VA.
