When the SEC guys can’t handle the truth about college football they simply become a pimp for the NFL. Yes, the SEC has more players drafted because football is king in the southeast. So that’s even more embarrassing that not a single SEC team has been in the Natty in 3 years.

But keep talking about the NFL if it makes you feel better. 8th and 9th graders who are the college studs of the future have seen the SEC become stagnant. The only interesting thing this coming season out of the SEC is the Lane Kiffen soap opera. And soap operas don’t win Natties but they make great reality TV. Old school SEC coaches are rolling in their graves seeing guys like Kiffen, Heupel, and others being the face of the mighty SEC. I give Kirby a pass because he’s more old school which is why you don’t hear about him other than in police reports.

Big 10 teams have a lot more bye type games in their conference schedule. Games they can just go through the motions and win. Means they can rest players more. Means they can let injured players have an extra week to recover.

Just with 4 games PSU is at 33

I was waiting for the ole “SEC” teams can’t rest comment. It’s just so typical. There is 1 legit team in the SEC today - UGA. That’s it. Sure, Kiffen could build up LSU in a year or two. We’ve been waiting in Tennessee to do anything under Huepel and instead they are no different than a mid level ACC or BIG team. Bama - they are a decent team but they aren’t scaring anyone. Auburn, Arkansas, Miss St, South Carolina, Missouri, Florida, Kentucky might as well be called NC State or Wisconsin. Texas and A&M go missing every December.

The only big wins the SEC has in several seasons has been against each other.
