That was just an unfortunate stain. Hey, who hasn't been fooled by a shart, especially in a nervy situation?

According to Ole Miss, the Sugar Bowl win over a mediocre Oklahoma State team was the best season ever!
They are, Ole Miss
Your best team ever, y’know, the one y’all brag about being ranked #1 for a few weeks, got blown out by Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl, the best bowl y’all have reached, and that team also lost to every decent team y’all played that year, including Ole Miss. The next season, that Sugar Bowl squad downright embarrassed State. Remind me again, The Winner, what exactly has State ever won? Today is for the Piggies, or for WAOM in general. It’s hard to demonstrate WAOM when Ole Miss is twenty games ahead of you because clearly not even WAOM has stopped Ole Miss from having two decades’ worth of wins ahead of y’all.
WAOM is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, or folding like a metal chair whenever the expectations and hype seemingly begin to manifest into reality. It’s the crippling anxiety that comes with a 21 point lead, and it’s the reason drinking is so intertwined with the fandom. We Are Ole Miss

Besides cheating a bit, I still respect OM over State.

I know what you mean. State just has the feel of a CUSA school. And its not just their football or athletics either, there's just something about the whole school, the town, and the overall group of people associated that just screams "lessers". As a whole MSU just puts off very mediocre vibes.
Not that Ole Miss isn't mediocre, because they very much are, but they still feel like they actually belong in the SEC. Even if just as cellar dwelling cannon fodder for the rest of this. State doesn't feel like they belong in the SEC, but they always look right at place when playing the UAB's, Troy's, and South Alabama's of the world.
