Hurt told Finebaum that Saban didn’t really mean to suggest that Aub was better than LSU, implying it was a poor choice of words. Poor Nicky just can’t do anything right with the Bama media.

Yeah, if LSU sees them in the CFP if we make it you better believe everyone on that team will take notice of that comment. But, to be honest, I am not sure it would make much of a difference, both teams would be highly motivated.

This may be Saban's best job as a head coach given the circumstances. Listen, if we have the same bunch or close to it that we started with in August we would have beaten this LSU team to death.They got every call, every break and beat a shadow of a Bama team by five. They are deadly on the Saints passing game with a senior QB who can hum it.
And Malzahn's worst given they are playing with an NFL defensive front and five fifth year seniors on their offensive front. But they managed to lose four games and then get a make good...a vulnerable Alabama in their snake pit. It would be the most AU thing in the world to dog it four times then recover and save Gus by scoring 60. And or shut us out. Some version of the two I totally expect the psycho's to do. The good news is they save Gus. Not sure what the strangest thing I have observed in my few short years on this planet, the American political scene or SEC football 2019. LSU could score 50 on Georgia in ATL but more than likely will get close to shut out.
