- Gil Dobie to Navy in 1917
- Darrell Royal to Texas after only one .500 season
- Sark to USC. Praise the lord for this! St. Patrick statue at Husky Stadium honoring USC’s Pat Hayden ridding us of the Sark:
- DeBoer to Bama. This is the first one that hurts. Dobie was before my time, but that must of hurt since he was 58-0-3 at Washington.

That being said, I don't agree with the comment that Stoops isn't deserving of his ranking. I think he's a good coach.

I wanted them to beat Oregon, and was pulling for them to win the whole thing this year.
When I watched them play Texas, and turn a blowout into a nail biter, that gave me some concerns about Deboer. Reminded me of Sean Payton with the Saints, where he always had to prove he was smarter than everyone else, and made some boneheaded calls that prevented the Saints from winning more than they did. And yes, Payton did elevate the Saints to where they were, so he WAS good,... but he was also a frickup.
I saw some of the same thing with Deboer against Texas. Had the game totally in hand, a SEMI-FINAL game, they could have coasted. Went for style points and it flipped the game, then refused to fricking kneel when that still would have iced it.
Texas should have scored on that final play.
Bama fans beware, if he does the same with y'all. You will lose your minds if he coaches like the anti-Saban

Not sure I buy that. Texas had way way more top to bottom talent. This isn’t basketball. The guys on 2nd and 3rd string makes a huge difference in football. Sark got out coached. Just an opinion.
