It would be scary if Kiffin takes over the LSU football team after Kelly is let go.

It would be about the same as it is with BK. Both offensively minded coaches who put suspect defenses on the field and go for it on 4th down way too much.

Kiffin is a much better HC than Kelly. Try flipping HCs and see which HC will get it done.

Are you kidding me?! LSU is the place Ed and Les won a championship. So far Kelly hadn't done that and likely not going to win one any time soon there. Kiffin with one of the top rosters should get it done. LSY fans saying Ole Miss will never win one because it is Ole Miss.

A head coach out of his depth with a program structure bound to create a multitude of injuries (it's the training room's fault!) with a lack of talent on the offensive line going up against the most talented Texas roster in 20 years is a formula for a pummeling.

John Blake beat Texas, and Brent Venables is a better coach than John Blake, but he's not a good head coach. This is his last season with the Sooners. OU is going to get rocked at the line of scrimmage while on offense, and the secondary is going to get torched on defense. It's going to be a pummeling.

Brian Kelly Win Percentage

Central Michigan .543
Cincinnati .850
Notre Dame .739
LSU .725

Total - .728

Lane Kiffin Win Percentage

Tennessee .538
USC .651
FAU .675
Ole Miss .710

Total - .671

Kelly is also 4-2 vs Kiffin

2-1 at Notre Dame vs USC
2-1 at LSU vs Ole Miss

So by the actual metrics, Kelly is better than Kiffin. Saying they're equalish is just my opinion based on talent levels, etc.

Texas Longhorns: Florida

I can see this happening, if Texas has one loss in the SEC it'll come from Florida cause they have a better qb than Georgia

Yeah I’m just going to disagree with you there. Not an astute analysis of OU’s situation.

Even if Brent isn’t a “great” HC, he’s now supported by a very deep coaching staff. Also, it’s been proven it wasn’t the training rooms fault for what happened last year.

Third, I would argue this Texas team is a drop from last years overall. Your offensive line is unproven, which offsets a very talented and deep set of skill players - frankly probably the best in the conference.

You’re asking a largely unproven offense to square up against a deep defense. Not to mention, you have the swamp the week before. Pretty easy to see Texas not only not pummeling OU, but flat out losing the game.

Kelly reminds me of ex-Georgia HC just before Kirby took over. Kirby then was able to win two championships. The issue with Kiffin was he was not ready and wasn't serious. It took him a while to get there. He took Ole Miss to a level that have never been done before at Ole Miss in modern era. What has Kelly done at LSU that compared to other LSU HCs that won championship at least one time. This coming season is Kelly last chance to get it done. I still don't think he will get it done.

We'll see what happens. I'm curious to find out what coach wants to come to OU when they don't have full control over the roster. You should be able to bring in some doozies.

It's fun to be a fan when you have a great coach like Bob Stoops in charge. Now you have the equivalent of Gary Gibbs.

OU will have to win the turnover battle. Outside of that, they don't stand a chance. Texas wins going away.

You still have Bama. Maybe you'll have better luck again there.

Then you can say how you’ve lost to an NAIA team 56 times, maybe 57 times after this upcoming one.

Sure, Jan

It’s easy to look good when you go up against the Lindenwoods in non conference games.

We typically don’t play well in the other Columbia so I wouldn’t be surprised if we lose, but Pribula an upgrade over Cook?
