This is incredibly naive and arrogant. If it was nothing more than the meaningless rantings of one fan, that would be one thing. The problem is that your comment seems to reflect the attitude of UCF's AD. UCF has been left out of the playoff twice because of the weak schedule. You have zero leverage. You have no tailwind. You are the mid-major de jour. Even if UCF beats LSU (God I hope not), you'll sink back into obscurity sooner than later.

You do know Danny just received a new contract at UCF and makes just under a million before built in incentives? We will build a statue for him here I’m 150% sure of it and put it by O’Leary’s. When he speaks, the UCF crowd goes into a frenzy of excitement. A legend here. If other people don’t like it, too damn bad.

If UCF scheduled 10 away games against Florida or agaist some other quality P5 opponent and managed to win a few, I would give
some respect but your AD reflects the pussification of your entire program, so...

No they weren’t. UF wanted a 2 in the swamp and 1 at Camping World which isnt 2 for 1. That’s a 2-0-1. We’re not doing that at all. We are the ones leveraging the 4 team playoff now. Danny is playing the market long and we’ll capture it wo the Gators. The narrative tailwinds are behind UCF.

whatever. he's an idiot for turning it down. you can't cry for relevancy and then decline an offer like that. you say you want P5 competition, well there was your chance. I'm sure you and the rest of your dumbass fanbase is perfectly fine with the yearly "war on I-4" and having Memphis as your only quality win. but at the end of all that, you'll be complaining again come bowl season. that's just the way it works. adapt and take advantage of your opportunities or shut the hell up

You're under the mistaken impression that we care about your statues or your fake championship rings. We don't. it's time to stop coming here looking for validation. You're never going to get it.

Legends still make mistakes. By not improving your schedule you are limiting your ceiling at what it is today. King of the little people. That is fine. Nothing wrong with that.

Wasn't O'Leary complicit in the death of a football player? And he was caught lying on his resume, a fact that cost him the Notre Dame job. His record at UCF was a hardly impressive 81-68, which included seasons of 0-11, two 4-8 years, 5-7, and the year he resigned after going 0-8. That's worthy of a statue????

Florida dominated UCF in the 2 games they played each other. UCF backed out of the last time they were supposed to play UF.

Why would UF schedule UCF? They'll likely back out anyway because they know they cannot sustain success.

Just because you've had a couple of good years in a shite conference, doesn't mean you should have any sort of negotiating power. Maybe North Dakota State should start demanding neutral site games and home/aways with some top schools, based on your AD's (and fans') dumbass logic.

You guys are the flavor of the month for the group of 5. Congrats. Houston was before you. Western Michigan was before you. You don't see them having home/aways with any of the top half of the power 5 conferences.

Sit back down and go study. You guys need it to get out of such a shitty school and transfer to a real one. Or if you graduated, you should re-consider attending a better school because UCF will never amount to anything.

What you, other UCF fans, and your AD fail to get is that is that even the media, some of which was initially sympathetic to your situation, is now mocking you for turning down an opportunity.

UCF's strength of schedule -- or lack thereof -- has been one of the primary reasons that the Knights were never seriously considered for spots in the last two editions of the College Football Playoff, despite unblemished records in both seasons. Knights athletic director Danny White isn't interested in beefing it up with a traditional in-state power.

We’ve signed a 1-1 with Miami a few years back. We also signed a contract w Texas and they dropped UCF this very year. A few years ago we signed w then power Stanford and travelled there and now they’re coming here next season. Is it our fault they now aren’t as good? No, bc you can’t project that 5 years out. Hurricanes cancelled Ga Tech and UNC games. Not our fault.

You know, I do feel kind of bad for good fans like yourself. No. It isn't your fault. It's just the way things are, and maybe your AD should take those opportunities. I don't think it'll be too much longer, anyway, till the major conferences expand to make for a few super conferences. You'll get your chance then.

A 2 at the Swamp and 1 in Camping World (where Florida Citrus Sports who runs it is hostile to UCF) isn’t a deal to consider. I’d rather go play the Dawgs in Athens or Bama in Tuscaloosa with no return rather than that offer.

Ucf and their fans just don’t get it. They are pussies at this point

The part where they really don’t get it is the “our schedule is bad but nobody will play us” card. That’s out the window now. They’ve been called out by everyone now

They actually have zero leverage. Beating ucf doesn’t do much for your resume so why should everyone just appease this faux outrage like they are USC west

The ucf people have lost their minds. If ucf really wanted to be somebody they should jump at the chance at playing every team that offers even if it’s ten road games in a row

They would earn respect.

It's not a matter of us liking it or not. It's a matter of, UCF, doesn't matter. We don't give a shite what you do or think.

That's how he should have done it. Camping World is in your city. What are you afraid of? Do you really expect Florida to come into your little high school stadium and play?

You do realize that your cute little fledgling football program would MAKE MORE MONEY and GET MORE EXPOSURE by playing the game in Camping World?

Florida offered UCF the mother of all favors with that deal, which is surprising given that they don't have to do it....they already own the Orlando TV market and recruiting area.

What a bunch of idiots.
