Greg Doyle

"Any candidate willing to take this job should be crossed off the list. Because he must be a moron."

I realize that I have an extreme anti-Auburn bias, but in all candor I think Auburn is going to realize at the end of all this that getting rid of Gene Chizik was not necessarily the solution they were looking for. Nobody in their right mind would take this job right now, and they could end up with another "experiment" before it's all over.

Really stupid article. He's basically saying that whatever state Saban coaches in, every other in-state program's coach should quit because Saban is unbeatable

You obviously haven't read any of the articles unveiling some of the things going on behind the scenes with Chizik's team. He needed to go ASAP. He literally lost control of the team completely, all of it due to his ego and lack of discipline

I would take it. I could coach my way. No punter. Go for it on 4th down every time if I am anywhere on the opponent's side of the field. On side kick every kick-off. I would be the biggest failure of a coach ever or be crowned an offensive genius.

I believe history will see Chizik as a Lowder/Dye puppet. Nothing more. Someone that would allow those listed to control this team. I honestly feel like Chizik is a good guy but one whose conscious could be bought.

Yes. Someone who would accept a job offer to coach a sports team for ten million dollars is clearly a moron.

They gave him full control & didn't meddle.

Arguably one of the reasons he failed because he didn't know what the frick he was doing.

They may have said that on te surface but Wingnut was the only coach I have ever known that told Dye to stay the frick away from his program.

And everybody in the SEC knew Malzahn was the brains in that relationship. Come on guys. Chizik failed because he didn't have the boy wonder

Trust me when I say, they weren't. Dye loved Chizik and didn't try and get in his way, and Lowder was laying low after the Colonial Bank shenanigans.

The "interference" was coming from Tim Jackson and Wayne Bolt, who were best buddies with Chizik and had his full blessing to scum up the football program.

If AU hires Petrino....they would be the idiot kid made to wear a dunce cap and sit in front of the class...where other kids could throw spitballs at when teacher wasnt looking.

Petrino crapped on his last three employers and has flatout lied to his AD at Arkansas. Do you not think that the media will overlook this? It wioll be brought up over and over again. AU would committ PR suicide. He is not the pied piper that will lead to Ws over Saban to begin with..passing offenses cant trump starched defenses.

AU better get someone who will outwork Saban and recruit the right kind of athletes...otherwise it deserves the fate that will be coming..a prolonged
berth in SEC's bottom of teams.

Agree with this. I am sure Auburn will find a decent Coach..but do not think they will find a coach with the caliber of Saban or Les. Mike Gundy would be a good pick?

The irony here is that if auburn offered Gregg Doyle the job, he would fap himself to death in excitement.

Every job looks shitty after a coach has been fired.

Bama looked like stomped shite when Saban took over.

Hell, they looked like stomped shite after Saban's first year, too.
