Good proven coach, we signed the #1 guard in the nation, and have a senior laden team.
That's a recipe for everyone in the SEC to expect success except for Mississippi State.
I'll apply it to last year's football offseason.
Team is returning 17 starters, including a Heisman contending quarterback.
Alabama, Georgia, LSU, et al - national championship contender.
Oh its State? They'll be lucky to go 6-6.
There will be no greater year to year improvement than Mississippi State in hoops next year. Solid crop returning, now a competent coach, and a coveted recruit that can make an instant impact.

I'll eat my right foot if MSU finishes Top 4 in the SEC next season
This constitutes as "in writing", no?

quote:well i took the time to look at that, not sure the writer did though. Does he realize that Simmons and Blakeney have 2 years of being AAU teammates under their belt? Or that Patterson and Simmons played together in high school? This years team should have more chemistry than last years team
but how they play, chemistry…

No, you have Jones as your coach.
Your coach struggles with him for some reason, and Jones' 2014 win over Kentucky might be the best coaching performance in the SEC since he entered the league.

He did ok last year until the injuries piled up on him. I would expect that A&M will again be a tough team and won't fade down the stretch.
