I guess you forgot Derek Dooley took over after Kiffin left UT, and that's when UT began to decline even more. Then Butch made it even worse.

I just seem to recall the Knoxville City Council wanting to name the wastewater plant after Kiffin before it was all over.

Your point that everyone but Arkansas fans are being honest about the hire?

That point?

Yes it's been proved

Joe Moorhead was a bad fit, and I'm not convinced Leach is significantly better.

I don't understand this line of thinking. Leach has been at Lubbock and Pullman. That's about as close to Starkville as you can get in two cities.

I'm also concerned about Leach's recruiting, as he's never been the most dogged on the recruiting trail.

I'm concerned as well, but I've been thinking about how his pitch to offensive kids could be successful when you think about how unique his offense is compared to the rest of the league. Skill players in Mississippi will want to play in his offense. Hard to recruit at Texas Tech and Washington State when just about every team in both conferences has the same sales pitch as you.

Pittman is the best hire

He has a bigger climb than state or ole miss

Yet he’ll get them to the same place, 8 9 win team that fights hard against he better teams and occasionally beats one

This objective breakdown by CBS cannot be right. This board told me that our coach looks like Harry Potter because he wears glasses, and that Pittman has assembled an elite staff!!

Arkansas hit a grand slam.

The staff hires were not apart of the grades

Given Moo State's expectations...7-8 wins a year with the occasional 9-10 wins (coinciding with a big time conference upset or two / bowl win), the Leach hire is an A imho.

He will go 4-0 or 3-1 in non-conference play, and pull down between 2 and 6 conference wins. As for recruiting, he will have plenty of 3 stars at State to work with...just because they are in the SEC.

As for Joey F., Ole Miss is pretty much akin to Moo State, just ever so slightly better positioned due to it's proximity to Memphis. That being said, if the Memphis Tigers are rolling, then Ole Miss may actually lose a recruit or two to them...especially if the Rebs/Black Bears are down at the time. Still, success will be had, especially if he can drags his nuts on Saban's chin...even if it only once. That would open a lot of recruit's doors. The hire is an A in my book.

Mizzou...the grade is a B.
They may have hired a great coach. However, they may have hired a coach that was handed the keys to a stacked team. I like the hire, but, Missouri isn't a hot bed for recruiting, so he will have an opportunity to prove himself pretty quickly.

Arkansas...also a B. I like this hire too. The problem, imo, is that Arkansas has the same recruiting limitations that Mizzou does. Adding the Aggies to the conference has really hurt Arkansas on the recruiting trail. The upside is that the hawgs have access to a lot of cash. If used wisely, the recruiting gap can be overcome.

My overall take...

If these coaches can get on a three game winning streak in the Egg Bowl, and the Arky/Mizzou game, they will probably get new deals while the opposing coach's seat gets hot.

Much better than the OP.
Everyone grading Pittman without considering the CEO approach he is pulling. He is the OLine version of Coach O. He has Odom and Briles. That isnt a homerun hire, but it's an A. It's a HUGE upgrade over Chaggy. Good news, OP, is you bitch arse over confident cocksuckers are about to taste that Chaggy arse when he shats all in your program's face.

MSU has their coach for the next 10 seasons. He'll improve their offense, make them fun to watch, produce some star QBs, and win 8+ games every now and then. For what they want he's the perfect hire.

Arkie: It's hard to think that Arkansas' plan when it fired Chad Morris during his second year to hire Pittman, but here we are. Pittman was the associate head coach and offensive line coach at Georgia, but spent three seasons at Arkansas. He's never been a coordinator, let alone a head coach at the FBS level, but is considered an excellent recruiter. It could work, but it's hard to be excited by the move. Grade: C

Oh look another arse clown looking at our hire at surface value. He could pass as a rantard.

And you dickweed that's agreeing with him and about to reply to my post saying he's right just proves my point.

This was done before Pittman put a good staff. This was graded as the hiring happened a day or so. The only add on was MSU recently.
