CBS - One of the best environments in all of college football will be on display in prime time as one of the biggest games of the year, No. 1 Alabama at No. 4 LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, takes center stage as the feature game of an SEC on CBS doubleheader on Nov. 3. The Crimson Tide and Tigers will square off at 8 p.m. ET.

Night games in Death Valley have always carried a particular mystique, but when LSU is in the mix for the SEC title and its Nick Saban coming to town with Alabama, the atmosphere promises to be otherworldly. The winner of the game will have a leg up in the SEC West race, an in-road to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game and arguably the best win in the country for its College Football Playoff profile.

LSU beat Auburn with a last second field goal. I'm not convinced about LSU's greatness just yet.

It just sucks that after LSU wins, we won't be able to say we beat #1. Bama will only have beaten like #10. LSU will still have UGA, who after that, assuming a win this weekend, might be top 5.

The beat Georgia and regardless if it was an off day, the talent is similar to Alabama.

If we are being honest Auburn tanked after that game. Gus lost the team. They have plenty of talent but became a rudderless garbage barge.

Two of LSU's secondary players just made the semifinal list for the Jim Thorpe award, and Tua will run away with the Heisman, don't need hype for this game. The entire football world wants to see how Tua plays against an NFL secondary like LSU's and vice versa.

I agree. Something is going on in Auburn. Their posters were convinced last week that boosters were going to shite can him if he lost.

Thats not a good sign in any program.

Dude, you do realize if we were somehow to beat Alabama, they would only move down to No. 2, maybe No. 3 if both Clemson and ND are both still unbeaten. Hell, I'm not convinced they wouldn't rank them ahead of us anyway. It would be 1. Clemson, 2. ND, 3. Bama, 4. LSU.

But if you lose Tua. and lose the game, and lose the opportunity to play in the CFP. Is your season still a good one, despite zero wins against ranked teams?

No it just means LSU was over rated and you still haven't played anyone

Sorry rant rules

If you lose in a close game it's better because you lost to top 4 team...ask A&M
