The entire point of this entire thread is that both are deserving, but if the committee decides to only allow 5 SEC teams, who gets left out.
Auburn does.
Its been explained here 20 times, its much easier for the committee to shank AU.
Nice season, you can still get to Omaha but, you have to go to Eugene or Tallahassee to do it.

Honestly the Top8 should be the 6 SEC teams + the 2 ACC teams
There’s no doubt in my mind that all 6 SEC teams under consideration should be Top8 seeds

because you get sidetracked telling people why they're stupid or some other mindless ad hominem remark when responding to an argument that doesn't say you're right about everything

so you’re really just saying you’ve played more Quad 2 opponents.
Correct. Arkansas has played 1. LSU has played 8. Arkansas has also played 9 Q3 games

Advantage Arkansas
Advantage Arkansas

All of this is sort of proving my point.
Yeah, you see part of a complete argument is providing all the details, not just the ones that strengthen whatever point you're trying to prove. Maybe you should try that
Arkansas and LSU have almost identical resumes. Seriously, a single game separates their total wins, SEC wins, and Q1 wins. Both of their NC SOS are garbage, so no I'm not giving them extra credit for that. Yet you somehow think it's "preposterous" to put them in the same tier. You want to know real the difference in their seasons? Arkansas swept USC and LSU blew a 9th inning lead to only win 2/3.

OMG. Im going to guess you’re from either Houma or Bogalusa. Tell me if I’m right.

Your #1 pitcher would have been, at best, our Sunday starter. I think he’s an outright fraud as far as number 1 starters go, having watched him for 2 years at LSU. I doubt Jay would have started him on Sundays if he was still on the team.
I watched the Aubie series and it’s the first, and only, time I’ve ever seen a pitcher yell at the ump repeatedly abt the strike zone like that. Truthfully, y’all got the better end of that all night in game 1 due in part to the ridiculous antics of Dutton.
You’re overrated and historically irrelevant and, unfortunately for Aubie, that history will determine things.

Not really when concerning the SEC.
LSU played two series against the top 4 league finishers and went 3-3.
Arkansas played everyone in the top 4 league finishers and went 7-2.

Stevie Wonder can see LSU is better than ARKY though!!!!

Show me where I did this unless responding to someone who was telling me I was stupid for having my opinion.

I literally did exactly this in the OP. I listed LSU’s advantages (ie conference record, etc) along with Auburn’s advantages. We’re 5 pages in and all you have to do is read the OP.

Amazing you can see this as such a razor thin difference yet you can’t admit LSU had an advantage in playing A&M and Missouri instead of Georgia and Ole Miss.

its because of the win totals in conference. traditionally 19 is a lock to get a top 8 seed and 17 isn't. but its close because of what you're already saying in your post. its just the way it is. if youre resume and stats wern't as good as they were then you would be hoping for an 8 seed with 17 wins instead of being a lock ,which I believe you are

They're not going to shank the team that finished #2 in the RPI, top 8 in the polls and high on all of the other metrics they openly claim they look at. Auburn just squarely fits their mold whether anyone likes it or not.

They will let the two obnoxious Oregon teams battle it out in state for the Omaha spot as the 8 and 9 seeds. That's what those fans want anyway.
The only question is whether that Super Regional will happen in Eugene or 40 miles up the road in Corvallis.
As for FSU, they are outside the top 12 in RPI and all of the computer metrics. Plus they are like 0-25 in the CWS so they've lost the benefit of the doubt. They will play in Auburn for the Super as the 10 seed.

Is there any precedent where a 17 win team got a top 8 seed over a 19 win team?

I’ll have to go and check…but possibly Arkansas in 2015 over a 20 SEC win Vandy team.

Is there a precedent for one team playing a conference series against a 3-27 team and the other playing the #1 RPI team in its place?

Nope…my fault…Arkansas hosted the Super that season because #8 Missouri State could not host at home. So they traveled to Fayetteville for Supers.

I think Kentucky is the only 19+ win team that hasn't gotten a top 8 seed since they started seeding teams. In 2006, they went 20-10 and didn't. Alabama did at 20-10 and UGA did at 18-12

Ok we’ll humor you: Auburn is the best baseball team ever. We all agree and are happy for you. Now please shut up you’ve been arguing this pointless shite for seven hours.

No matter what happens this week in Hoover, LSU will get a higher national seed than Auburn. Doesn’t matter how many arguments you want to make. It just is what it is.
