According to some friends that I have in the football business with close ties to the Carroll camp:
quote:

Carroll has wanted to be the Head Hog in Fayetteville his entire career. He yearns for big time SEC football and would want nothing more than to live in the country of the gods, NWA.

The West Coast is nice and all but some people find out eventually that they love it here in the Natural State. Carroll on the Hog sideline next year wouldn't surprise me. Elite coaches have a history of returning to their homeland, e.g. Mike Anderson or Broyles. TIFWIW

Nolan still lives here. BMFP, too.

Coaches can't seem to quit Nam.

Hell, Nutt's family still snoops around here. Eventually even that assfrick will buy another home in NWA.

It's funny how these things happen. Who would have thought just a year ago that Arkansas would be upgrading yet again? Out with Petrino and Johnelle, make way for Captain Carroll!

The crew on the flagship must be delusional from the drought they are experiencing.

I lived there this summer and I heard some chatter that he doesn't like the area much and wants to get back into the college game. It's not for everyone.

If he wants Arkansas so bad why didn't he get the job the last time?

Arkansas boys that coached in Bama and Texas have a history of not coming back to Arkansas.

Didn't he put up 70 on the Flagship while he coached at USC?
