This better?

The last time the Canes visited Kyle Field, they didn’t sniff the end zone. I hope the Canes are focused more on teaching Beck how not to throw the ball to players wearing maroon jerseys than they are the Yell Leaders.

Yell leader activities that started in the early 1900's in an all male military school that have been clinged to and kept largely unchanged for the sake of tradition.

It does not carry well to the uninitiated in modern times and you're not wrong to wonder wtf is happening if you have no prior knowledge or understanding of where this came from.

I hope this helps.

Why does a team called the “Hurricanes” have a duck for a mascot?

Cultural holdover from a time before they were not allowed females at their University.

The homoerotic obsession with the Yell Leaders on tRant is as reliable as a sunrise.

Every SEC school has failed gymnast male cheerleaders on the sidelines, but A&M's Yell Leaders are the only ones tRant posters think about while loping their mules.

Well, Imma split hairs here.

Generally, women could not enroll during the regular semesters. They could take summer classes, though, when the Corps thing was inactive.

Women were often on campus during the regular year for things like football games and dances. A Texas cliche is that Aggie men marry Baylor women, rooted in the time when Baylor was much more a women’s school. Their dads wanted their daughters to be safe from the lechers at that den of iniquity in Austin. (Mrs. Zwin is a Baylor girl.)

You don’t really care, so don’t pretend like you do

If you’re honestly interested in the history of Texas A&M and their traditions, there are other places you can go to research and have your questions answered. The SEC rant is not included in these resources.

But congrats on getting the responses you were looking for.
