Go back and read the post he was replying to and see if you can figure out why yards were mentioned.

Yeah... the rehiring of Roper is one of the bigger head scratching moments I can remember... and is a clear sign he didn’t learn all that much from his time at UF

He's obviously improved so far. We'll have to see how he handles expectations again.

Win 8 or 9 games occasionally? Yes and that's his ceiling.
Win the division? Never.
Win the conference? Lulz
Compete for national title?

This is kinda funny but .... we put up what, 350 yards of offense on UGA yesterday?

330 something. How much of that was after the game was out of reach? USCe scored 7 in the 4th, so I assume a lot of those yds was from that drive, vs scrubs.

I've followed Muschamp since he was at Darlington. He was a passionate player and a very good DC. But, like Mark Richt and Jeremy Pruitt, as HC he has reached his level of incompetence. Happens to a lot of coaches.....most coaches. Only a few move on to greatness. CWM will not be one of those few.

He’s at the right place. South Carolina doesn’t expect to win titles. They’re satisfied with being a 9-10 win team on good years. As long as you get to 7 wins you’re good.

They gained 70 and 59 on the 2 drives after we went up by 31 points.

South Carolina can't compete with Clemson.

L O fricking L ... I guess that's written in stone forever huh?

Muschamp can't coach offensive players or recruit QBs.

He's the HC not the OC ... the new OC and QB coach are doing just fine. And he signed a good QB this past year and the #2 Pro Style is already committed for this next class.

What has changed since Florida?

Puh lease. You can't be this obtuse. Or are you?

Nevermind, I guess you are.

Well, let's see ... if he recruits here like he did at Florida (27 of his players on NFL rosters) we'll be fine.

Especially since he's put an emphasis on QBs and OLinemen ... not to mention hiring Dan Werner to coach QBs and Eric Wolford to coach his OLine.

Then there is his newfound control ... he's matured, leveled-out, less stress, happier, more comfortable in his surroundings. All those little things that make him a better coach than he was at UF.

He's a good fit here. He's also a relentless, tireless, worker. We love blue collar coaches. He fits our fan base.

He's about to have all of his facilities requests filled for Christmas.

He's doing really well building relationships with the HS coaches within the magical 200 mile radius he is concentrating on ... covers Atlanta, Charlotte, The RTP and everywhere in between.

We're still relatively young. I think we played ten or twelve true Freshman this last Saturday. That's not counting the RFr and the Sophs. We were 70% freshmen and Sophomores last season. He's building and he's playing these young kids now ... it'll pay off.

We're about to add another really gold DLine class with this next class and 2020 will be a monster DLine and OLine class. He knows it's all about the trenches. He is definitely not an idiot. He learns from his mistakes.

He's got a young, solid staff in place.

We're in pretty good shape. The UGA beating was one game and it is certainly not going to make us or break us nor does is reflect any major negatives on mUSChamp as it stands right now. He's just gotta keep signing good players. We need more depth.

How he fares against the rest of the schedule will tell us more about where we stand.

That's a horrible head coaching move. South Carolin has the ability to hire someone experienced. Muschamp's career as a head coach depends on the success of this coordinator. And he hires someone that has never done the job?

Decisions like these are why he'll never be successful in a meaningful way.

Odom hired Derrick Dooley as the OC for Missouri! Missouri is not one of the top schools for coaches to want to go and get top recruits but I believe he will slowly build a good football team and make it great but it will take time. Look at UK for an example. Same thing.

He is already a good coach but he is caught in a buzzsaw right now. GA and Clemson are both peaking. Thats bad for SC

Good points, and I agree completely. With Clemson and Georgia both being national powers, it is a very tough situation.

We basically played bend don't break once the game was in hand. We let you complete passes in front of our d with the exception of the long TD which was just well excited.

I would say if KS and Boomwerent buddies, that game would have been a slaughter of epic proportions. Heck our starting QB only played a little over two quarters.

I think south Carolina is going to surprise some folks.

McClendon can't get away from the run game like he did. He will hear about it from his dad. And he will improve (see Mike Bobo and how quickly he evolved with experience ).

Defensively, uga has too many weapons (5 different players with 30+ rushing yards and 8 different receivers with catches through about 3 quarters of play ). I really don't know what to expect defensively from Scar yet. But muschamp has a great track record. We will have to see how it plays out.

The biggest thing to me, especially in the second half was that every time a UGA RB got the ball, he was getting at least two yards before he was touched. The OL manhandled our DL/LBs. UGA was far superior there, and it showed. We spotted them seven early, but we bounced back with some nice plays of our own, but that first drive of the second half was a back breaker.

CWM is fine. He simply has not been there long enough. He might need some more staff and a few facility upgrades but he will have success. No way USCe shouldnt improve over time. they are in the SEC, have some cash. and to close to the recruiting grounds.

The playcalling shifted a bit in the 2nd half.

When our starting preseason all conference left tackle got hurt and we put in a 5 star true freshman, we did more run:rpo pass to protect him. And it really worked well. Combine an athlete like Mecole Hardman who I would take over Deebo (I'm biased) and it puts a ton of stress on the defense to pick their poison (give numbers against the run game which gives mecole space or play us straight up and face our big OL firing at you without the help from your safeties)

He does every off season. Then he has to play the games and falls back to reality.
