What is the point of the NIL charade? Just state what the salary and signing bonus each job is offering.

They're endorsement deals.

No, they’re not. Players receive an offer of money to attend a school. The “endorsement” part is the charade. Why must we all pretend?

Eh, Raisin Cane's and Get Gordon are both endorsement focused rather than targeting specific players. The Bryce / Michigan deal is a clear pay to play but a lot of players have gotten endorsement deals they otherwise wouldn't have. Ewers/Dr Pepper is another example.

They are not player salaries though, they are in fact NIL deals.

Austin TV has Ewers doing promotions for a local law firm. Burt Auburn the FG kicker does promotions for a local roofing company, and so on, etc.
Other players sign stuff and make local appearances, etc.
I would guess the easiest money is to get paid to have your face or name on an event or some minor product, maybe paid for interviews, etc.
Are other schools not doing this?

So you can complain about it’s unfair?
No. It’s not salary. They don’t have an employer.
It’s 100 percent market driven based on the player. And they are going to the school with the best market.
It’s free agency. And yes. We know it sucks for you because you are poor.

I was under the impression that was the expectation. A basketball player was on a radio spot yesterday, Bru has a car dealership deal and is in moonshine cookie spots, 3-6 athletes usually show up for events and do signings. Volunteer Club events can see a variety of players from different sports speaking and singing for the crowd.
