Texas A&M knows about as much about championships as Ole Miss does FWIW

LSU had one starter returning to the D-line for the '11 season. Remember how that one turned out?

Yea, I'm not sure how we are going to replace any of our guys leaving. Alabama and LSU are the only teams with offensive depth in this league, and Lord knows our recruiting has been awful.

I mean, how do we compete with guys like this:

Offensive Line
Jake Matthews*
Luke Joeckel*
Mike Matthews
Cedric Ogbuehi
Jarvis Harrison
Germaine Ifedi
Ben Compton
Joe Cheek
Kimo Tipoti

Backs
Trey Williams
Ben Malena
Brandon Williams
Tra Carson
James White

WR - really tough to recruit in this offense
Mike Evans - tall but sophomore slump
Malcome Kennedy - medium, catch vs Bama only
Kyrion Parker - tall, couldn't play at Ole Miss
JaQuay Williams - tall, probably worthless
Nate Askew - tall
Derrick Griffin - real tall, but can't qualify
Ricky Seals-Jones - tall, overrated by everyone
Derel Walker - tall, who is this again?
Jeremy Tabuyo - short and slow
LaQuivionte Gonzalez - real short and real slow
Sabian Holmes - taller, but still slow

And then, here we got this clown throwing them the ball.

I'm not sure I wanna even watch us offensively next year.

Man, what I would do to get some of LSU's talent on that side of the ball. We might actually compete in this league.

The answer is no -- we lose 6 in 2013.

Luckily we have recruited/coached extremely well on the O-line in the recent years.

Damontre on the other hand will be much harder to replace. Lots of young potential, but no one could be a guaranteed contributor.

Secondary should be much stronger though. As should running back play.

We lose a lot in the way of players but the second year of the scheme, and good recruiting will hopefully tide that over.

Also, our new OC will be the guy calling plays for the cotton bowl. That's my guess, and he's been in the system a long time. Should be no drop off there. Guy was already running game coordinator.

We can reload the O-line.
Damontre will be sorely missed.

Its a 50/50 situation imo. They would love to make bank. However they are currently looking into insurance options incase they really want a shot at the crystal ball. If we slaughter OU I see everyone coming back If we beat OU I see the Tackles staying. If we lose I see them cashing a draft check in 2013.

There are some things more important than money - like kicking some Swamp Kitty arse and going for a national championship. THOSE are 2 GREAT reasons for coming back.

while i agree that the chance of beating LSU is more important than money but a prudent person would understand they are going to lose to LSU and not even sniff atlanta (much less nc) so one should take the money. and then they can both dream and be rich. right now all they got is the dreaming thing; it seems to be inbred in aggies.

Aggies won the last 2 meetings in Baton Rouge in '92 and '94 so not sure if the west deck was built then or not. We didn't play again from '96 on until the Cotton Bowl in 2011.
