Nebraska was a good brand pickup, no doubt, but not nearly as good of a $$$/market pickup as A&m.
A&m brought the brand and money and huge market. Nebraska merely brought a brand, not much of a market.
That said, Nebraska is definitely the second best pickup of any conference thus far.
A&M and Nebraska are the two huge moves in conference realignment thus far, the only ones of any real long-term significance. All of the other moves pale in comparison to the affect of those two programs moving.

I can't disagree with that... They need more vag on the field.

No real southerner considers Missouri to be a "yankee" state.

A&M was a good add. Just imagine how much shite the SEC would have gotten if A&M hadn't been in this conference last year. LSU and Florida looked terrible in their bowl games. South Carolina and Georgia put up uninspiring efforts against Michigan and Nebraska. Auburn, Arkansas and Tennessee were awful. A&M and Bama basically salvaged the reputation of the SEC with their bowl game performances.

Eh. I see your point but there's no way of knowing what would have happened during bowl season had A&M still been in the Big 12. They certainly wouldn't have played OU and they might have played LSU in the Cotton, or Florida. This just opens up a whole big can of worms where the possibilities are endless. If A&M would have stayed in the Big 12, they might have gone undefeated while also leaving Bama undefeated...and they probably would have been left out of the NCG restructuring all the bowls (while also seriously fricking the BCS).
Regardless, most SEC teams performed well OOC during the regular season highlighted by Florida beating FSU and USC beating Clemson. Bowl performances don't mean shite in the big picture. SEC would still be king without A&M.

Well at least y'all-oh wait excuse me; at least "you guys" can finally come to that realization and stop feeding us these bullshite excuses about what side Missouri was on during the Civil War.
I swear I don't know which new team is worse on this site: the snobby meth heads up north or Texas' little brother claiming they're the new top dog in the SEC.

Pretty sure we were on both so it's not really a debate

What Texas A&M brings to the SEC?
-The 12th Man, one of the nation's most fanatical fanbases. 50,000 student campus, massive and very loyal alumni following. 6th largest fanbase in college football.
-The 10th richest University in the United States. Biggest endowment in the SEC. Top notch academics, top 10 public University.
-Instant academic credibility, research juggernaut
-Market located smack in the middle of Houston, Austin, and Dallas.
Good troll.
Sleeping giant has awoken. Top 10 recruiting class in 2013, currently #1 2014 recruiting class, plans for half a billion stadium upgrade.

A&M was a good addition. The sec now has a footprint in Texas, which is big. Mizzou was a terrible addition.

I find these threads funny. If we werent in the SEC, the BIG would have wanted us over Maryland and Rutgers. And even the Pac-10 had made a couple calls to see what we and kU were doing. We would be fine.
On the other hand, who immediately could the SEC have gotten? Stuck with West Virginia?
